What We Believe.

Lift up your hearts to God, Holy Amarr. Trust in Him always. Follow in the example of Her Majesty. She is gone now, so that we may stand on our own and save ourselves, but have faith. She will be back again, in our time of need.

I know that what I am saying is new and indeed, someone has already expressed some concern. However, my belief is not treasonous, nor is it heretical. It is based on the sincere and profound believe in the Scriptures and the Empire. After Her Majesty died, I spend the entire time in prayer and continuous vigil around the wreck of EF Seraph trying to discern God’s plan. His will is always there, even though it is hard for us to see, sometimes.

Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. We have faith in God. We have faith in our Holy Empire, which was founded to cultivate the spirit of man and we have faith that our Empress is there to lead us. In my life I have seen God’s work and I see it now.

Empress Jamyl died. Bowing her head to God’s will, she self destructed her pod at the coronation of Emperor Doriam II. Her supporters were there; they offered to overthrow the Emperor and the results of the trials and maker her Empress. God presented Empress Jamyl with the greatest of temptations and she still resisted. This was her test of faith.

"I will not hesitate when the test of Faith finds me, for only the strongest conviction will open the gates of paradise. My Faith in you is absolute; my sword is Yours, My God, and Your will guides me now and for all eternity." - The Scriptures, Prophet Kuria, Paladin's Creed

"For whosoever shall lay his life down for his Lord
He shall be taken into the arms of God
And forever consecrated will he be.”
- The Scriptures, Amarr Askura 2:3

God had set aside a task for Her Majesty, one of the greatest ever in the Empire’s long and regal history. She would return from the dead to be our salvation. To make sure that His holy instrument knew the strength of her resolve, He gave her a great test and she was found worthy in His sight. And then God waited for the right time.

In the time of darkness, God’s light returned. The Empire had been lead by a blooder chamberlain that had let the Sacred Throne remain empty. The position of Emperor, which is so important to our faith and Empire was vacant and it’s powers usurped. The Minmatar fleet was invading our space. For the first time ever, hostile ships were in orbit above the Throne Worlds. I know that I am not the only one that prayed God for a miracle. Yes, the collective prayer of ‘God, save us’ reached the ears of the Divine and it was answered in the person of Empress Jamyl.

“The great Amarr Empire was founded to cultivate the spirit of man.
To do so the enemies of the outside had to be defeated and the enemies of the inside controlled.
The Lord gave our Emperor the power to harness the Good and punish the Evil.
Ever since, the Emperor has lived the lives of his subjects and breathed the air of authority."
- The Scriptures, Book I 1:14

In accordance with the Scriptures the Empress smote the Elder fleet with God’s wrath and sent them back to the Republic and she drove out the blooder Chamberlain. The enemies outside were defeated and inside controlled. She returned our Empire to a life of faith and service to God.

"The angelic Apostles of Heaven sing praises for their children!
Our Lord smiles upon the world.
Where the Emperor rules in his name
Leading his people to glory untold.
Hearken the trumpets of Heaven
Hailing the people of Amarr."
- The Scriptures, Prophet Anoyia 17:21

Sometimes God is subtle; sometimes God is as obvious as trumpeters and heralds crying out. In the case of the Empress’s resurrection, God himself made a sign in the heavens. The Bright Star appeared to all people, everywhere, despite the laws of physics as we know them so that we might know her reappearance was ordained by God.

Her Majesty was given the Sacred Throne, rightfully, after her return. What was once offered to her as a temptation was now given to her as recognition of God’s favour. She lead the Empire in trying times, rebuilt the navy and our institutions. She reunited our Khanid brethren with us.

"In the beginning all things were as one.
God parted them and breathed life into his creation
Divided the parts and gave each its place
And unto each, bestowed purpose"
- The Scriptures, Book I 1:4

A few months ago, Caroline’s star appeared in the sky. Like the Bright Star, it defied all explanation. It appeared everywhere, at once, a trumpet from the heavens. God’s anointed, Empress Jamyl Sarum knew her time was nearing the end. God had set her aside for a purpose
and she had scant time left to fulfill that purpose. The Amarr released new technology, new ships. She held court with all of her faithful and loyal capsuleers to inspire us. She was trying to prepare us for her passing and a time when we, the Chosen and faithful would have to stand and fight for our faith and for our Empire.

"At the end of days when they descend
Watch for the coming of the Ark
For within it, salvation is carried"
- The Scriptures, Book II, Apocalypse 32:6

We as a people do not look for the end times. We are not lunatic cultist, like the Equilibrium of Mankind. The Amarr look to the future and to the promise of better things to come. Time when we will know more of God’s truth and his plan. Our Scriptures are always evolving our knowledge always growing. Every new answer brings a new question and our thirst for knowledge is never satiated. God’s will can be revealed to us, though in our humility we admit that it is imperfect.

Still, we know that eventually our existence, indeed the very existence of the universe will end, but cause only God is eternal. There will be a time when we face the end of days, even if it it billions of years from now when the stars go out. It might very well be sooner than that, I do not know. What we do know is that at the end of days, God will send us the Ark and it will carry our salvation, as revealed in the Scriptures.

We have already seen salvation come once. We have seen the Ark, the Stars of heaven carry her here and back. Jamyl, the Once and Future Empress, will be back once more to lead her people and fulfil the final part of God’s plan!

I caution you all this. Do not look for her soon. God would not take her away now just to give her back. All who read this now will never see her again in this life, but we may rest assured that we will see her in Paradise. Requiescat in pace, Your Majesty.

The Order of Jamyl

The Order of Jamyl was founded by myself, Holy Mother Alizebeth Amalath. As an ordained bishop in full communion with the Holy Church, I have both full ecclesiastical powers and am able to begin an order such as this.

The Order of Jamyl is much like any other sect or denomination in the Amarr Empire. We will follow Scripture, promoted the faith and obey the laws and edicts of the Throne and the Theology Council.

What we seek to do is emulate the example of Her Majesty. Empress Jamyl was very much a human woman, but also a shining and potent example of service to God. For many capsuleers, we look to her for guidance since she was like us. This is nothing new. Other orders and sects have their own patron saints and live by their rules of conduct. The guiding principle of the Order of Jamyl is ‘what would Jamyl do?’

We will serve God’s will. We will serve the Holy Amarr Empire. We will obey the Throne. We will fight for Holy Amarr. The members of the order will venerate Her Majesty and in emulating her, better serve God. We will keep her memory alive and watch for her return.

Membership into the Order of Jamyl will be divided into three separate tiers: the clergy, the brethren and the laity. It is important to note that the order is separate from the capsuleer corporation and that faithful baseliners are welcome. Her Majesty was the people’s Empress. This is not just for priests or religious brothers and sisters, this is for any of the faithful that wish to join.

Questions and Answers

Q: Is this heresy as some suggest?
A: No. This is a new belief that is being put forward. All of our theology is at one time new. The Amarr Empire has designated the Theology Council as the final arbiter of Divine Truth and the Order of Jamyl will cooperate with them fully as we develop our doctrine.

Q: Is this treason? You are swearing loyalty to Empress Jamyl over the Emperor.
A: No. The Empress has already given us an example. She bowed her head to God’s will at the coronation of Emperor Doriam II. We will fully support the Emperor, whoever he may be. The Emperor is an important position in the Empire, for he rules in God’s name.

Q: When will Empress Jamyl return?
A: At the end of days, whenever that may be. Have faith in her return, but for now, serve God and Empire.

I'm new to the faith and to God. But, Empress Jamyl I was very dear to me. I may not have finished converting yet. But when I do I hope that Bishop Amalath will permit me to join the Order of Jamyl. The Empress was an amazing woman. I know she returned to us from the dead once before. I can't believe God would take her away again without a divine plan and I'd like to believe he will send her again when the Empire is in need.

Anyway, thank you for forming this Order Bishop Amalath. It brings some of us great hope. If I'm a fraction of the woman the Empress was I'll count myself lucky and proud.

We have seen these strawmen crop up, so it is important to address them now.

Our denomination is purely of the Amarr Faith. There is no sectarian movement here. We hold no beliefs that are contradictory to the Faith. We make no demands to change the Scriptures, or suggesting anything of the sort. All that is being said is:

  1. We believe in the Scriptures and the Amarr Government as they exist today
  2. Jamyl, is a shining example of of the tenets in Scripture.
  3. We take our guidance from this shining example to build our own path in God's name, in God's universe.

The Emperor or Empress of Amarr, whoever they may be, is the Voice of God and the supreme authority over the Faith with any concessions made for procedural powers of the Theology Council. The Once and Future Empress Jamyl has ascended to Paradise to be with God, so the title we affectionately give her is not a challenge to any future Emperor or Empress of the Amarr Empire itself.

We will vehemently defend any attempts at questioning our strong alignment to the Amarr Faith and to God.

As a faithful member of the Amarr Faith, and as a servant of God, we declare ourself a Jamylite and pledge ourself to the Order of Jamyl.

Hands up for Jamyl.

I would be interested in joining and learning more. The Empress' death has affected me greatly, and I am searching for meaning in her sacrifice.

Q: Will capsuleers expressing interest in the OOJ be expected to leave their current corporations/alliances in order to join, or will other provisions be made?

Space nuns, or Evil space nuns ?

It's important to make that distinction.

There are two entities, the religious order and the corporation. One does not have to be in the second to be a part of the first.

Few in the Empire are worthy of the Honor of such an Order being formed in their name. I applaud you, Holy Mother and those that flock to you. Jamyl was a righteous leader. Certainly worthy of this reverance.

Thank you again, Mother Alizebeth.

Lionizing a woman that broke the traditions of the succession trials, then cloned when she died and took the empire for herself.

Fairly sure that's called a usurping.

Interesting turn of events. Surely this gives the king room to make his own bid, if the standards are so flexible and fanaticism is so easily whipped up within your government. St Khanid does sound rather good too.

As I have said, she died, submitted to God's will, and was resurrected. In recognition of God's divine favor, we made her Empress.

It's a shame that one Khanid is going to sully the reputation of the rest of the Kingdom.

Oh the only irony is that the empire, who supposedly hold to the God-flesh principal, are vaunting a woman who so flagrantly violated it. It's a silly principal. Opening up a holder ship to the chaos of genetics to decide their leaders when others in history have been far, far more capable and their continued rule would have meant more prosperity for the people of their holdings.

She made a blatant play for power and everyone was eager to bend the knee. Good for her! She was a natural leader. But some self awareness on the part of the Imperial citizens would be rather welcome. You don't have to pretend our lord stepped in and saved one out of..Thousands? Of potential Emperors over the course of history just to follow someone you believe in.
