Dual prop T1 cruiser

Hello,

Today I've been thinkind I'd like to use a dual prop cruiser fit to kill people. The plan is to use the MWD to get a fight with an other cruiser, spliting him from his mate or that kind of stuff, and then use the AB to out-track his guns and so kill him without much pain.

I don't know if it has a chance to work but I'd like to try.

So here are 2 fits I came up with :

Maybe I should change the cap booster for a web, however I'd be really short on cap with both ships.

At first glance Thorax seems really better than Stabber for this job, as it has a higher DPS, a much better tracking and a better maneuverability. However Stabber has a lower sig radius which could be really helpful. His better range may also help to apply DPS even if the ennemy go for tricky maneuver to pull range, and it has a much better speed.

If you like the idea which one would you pick or why ? Also if you have improvment or other ships for this job please share :)

These kind of setups don't really work very well anymore mainly because of the current meta. Most cruisers can still apply damage to you well even with your dual prop unless they are running the largest sized guns with no web or HAMs with no web which are both very uncommon. So basically gun and missile boats will still apply well enough to you, and they have the fitting and slot advantage on you. Droneboats which are all over the place will still apply their damage as well.

That leaves solo Battleships which are very rare and if they are running solo, they will be battleships that can apply well to cruisers due to the meta (Geddon, Domi, RHML Phoon/Raven etc). So you have no real hope of killing a PvP Battleship. Maybe a ratting battleship with guns is possible but once again, these are rare.

The main big advantage is having range control on MWD/Scram/Web cruisers so you can disengage if you start losing. So it's not complete trash, but personally I'd go for a heavy dps setup if roaming solo.

So you mean something like Neutron / 1600mm plated Thorax ? Why not.

About webs I'm fairly new to null and I was surprised to see that much people don't use webs there, compared to low sec where almost everything undocked has a web fitted. I wanted to try this because I know from the few cruisers brawl that cruisers don't apply really well to other cruisers when orbited with AB. However as you said there are many drone boats and RLM ships that could shrek me without having to care about their tracking so I think you're right it's not really good.
