Our recent discussion about your pursuit of technology to circumvent Death led us to do some thinking. Perhaps we were being too negative, and spending too much effort talking down your enthusiasm for invention of ethical solutions to the problem that is Death.

Amarr beliefs are complex on the topic. Our Husband, to give you an example, has orthodox religiously-motivated strictures against cloning so we anticipate having to survive him and cope with his loss one day. Though we love him dearly, we are cognizant and respectful of his beliefs and would never try to use technology to "cheat" Death. However, he sleeps in a state of Cryopreservation 50 weeks out of 52 in a year. Is Cryogenic Sleep considered cheating? If we were to find blood-based chemical ways to extend his life, without wholesale replacement of the cells of his person, would that be cheating?

We lay awake at night pondering these questions, and often sleep escapes our troubled mind.
