Is there a keystroke that will allow you to go back to the previous or forward to the market detail? Sometimes I push the previous and next buttons and wind up messing up my list of items I am surfing.

They're bound to the back and forward buttons on your mouse by default.

I need to examine my mouse more carefully. My current level of mousery is limited to left click & right click.

I use a game pad on my left hand that I assign shortcuts and mouse assist commands to individual keys, my hand never leaves the pad. I also use this for pvp where with only a couple if buttons I can select, lockup, assign different modules to targets, begin manoeuvring, overheat selected modules and fire within a second.

On my right is my mouse and 10-key right next to it.

A normal price update takes less than 4 minutes for all my orders. If it's been a few hours and I have to use the 10-key a lot, then it's about 8-10 minutes.

Once you get an efficient system in place an muscle memory takes over you can fly through orders. The biggest delay is taking a split second for each item to prevent mistakes.

I mapped the Back to F11 and the Forward to F12 and have been using it for a couple of days successfully.

I miss my Nostromo N52, it was sacrificed to the beer god many moons ago.

I'm actually running a fairly ghetto system for EVE right now, with a reduced format IBM keyboard (awesome) and a 2-button wired mouse (spare parts).

Which game pad are you using? I'm thinking I may need to make a purchase.

Razer now sell the Nostromo N52 for a mere three times the price.

Yep, it's the Nestromo n52te. Pretty damn old too, two of the buttons no longer work but I couldn't possibly get rid of it after all we've been through Smile The simple macro editor for the buttons that comes with it is nice. Assign multiple keystrokes with micro delays between them is very useful for both markets and pvp.

My mouse is from 2003, they stoped making about 6 years ago and I actually would not play the markets without it. It's got a function on it that's next to impossible to find now a days that removes most of the grind work from market updates. I've gone so far as to buy a spare on ebay just in case it goes down.
