Appears I may not have choose the right Forum for this. If a Mod could move this to Warfare and Tactics that would be great.

I took a 5 year break and just returned last week. I need some direction on what to work towards until I have a better understanding of the ships again. A lot has changed and I've heard tell of re-balancing of ships.

I am lvl 4 or 5 in All T1 Minmatar and Caldari BC and below ships. I am lvl 4 in CovOps, HAC, HIC, Cepter, Dictor and Recon. I have roughly 26mil SP so I am not master but have proficient SP(T2 weapons, hardeners, etc) in all the associated skills for those ships. I do have BS skills too but not the support skills to accompany it well yet.

I used to love to fly Buffer Hurricane, I also flew the occasional Recon, Interdictor and Heavy Dictor. I always liked the idea of bomber fleets but never actually got in one during my previous play time.

I'm looking to improve my support SP towards my primary fitting until I get enough back into things to have a clear direction of what I want to train for. My problem is I don't know anything about fittings anymore to know what a good choice of ship would be.

Given my SP, the ships I can fly and a goal of getting back into 0.0 roaming PvP ASAP what would be a good direction to work towards. Cost why I am comfortable with the possibility of losing T2 fitted BC fairly regularly or anything below. I don't have the bank ATM to lose to many HAC without feeling guilty about it.

Welcome back my friend!

Rushing to dissapoint you but for the past 5 years CCP didn't release minmaldari/calmatar faction yet Cry

Nevertheless we do currently have a bright times of cruisers online, so you are looking good with you SP layout. But Be carefull of trollceptorsUgh

You better find a corp or join null sec alliance still those have their own doctrine fits. Try to spend sometime to study the current sov holders you might be able to find an old friends as well.

If it's not fake and just silly propaganda duck the Provi will burn soon.

"The message is that there are known knowns. There are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say there are things that we now know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know" - CCP

T1 BCs are still fun and insure well. Most of my fits cost about 30m after insurance. Things have changed quite a bit since you last played. Most everything has been rebalanced and now there are some really cancerous pirate ships (gila, orthrus, garmur) to deal with. As well as t3d. MJD is your best friend in a BC or BS, try to fit one if you can.

Neuts, fit them if you can, they will help immensely against t3d. Basically, i build BCs as brawlers with range control/neuts to kill scram tackle, and then MJD away from whatever i cant catch.

In a similar boat myself her. Think 2009 was my last proper go. Be interested to see where this thread goes. For ref I tended to drive gall and minmi hacs at the time
