yup i am uk based and also have to task manger close the launcher because like CCP it is not responding.



Try again buddy used the delete installer and downloaded the 100mb fresh launcher file from CCP linked earlier suddenly working again.

Tried it earlier didn't work, now working literally minutes after my post.

I don't what happened to my post from last night. Could not get game to load even though repair and respache both said game was good.

Just got up after 7 hours asleep and tried to launch again and Voila! Another patch downloads and installs. Results, Launcher finishes update, changes from PLAY to LAUNCHING for maybe 25 seconds and then goes back to PLAY again. There is an exefile.exe *32 supposedly running but EVE does not launch. Please help as I will not renew other four accounts until I can get this one to launch.

In answer to previous post, no this is not limited to the UK. I am in southern California!

success i am patched.

scroll up to whitehounds suggestion on page 17 and download and connect using a vpn, i opted for one in japan game patched immediatly

I have now simply reinstalled the game (twice) and it is now working.

If this still fails then try the trick with a VPN connection.

so i was just sitting with the client open, doing other things, and i looked back, and it had patched by itself, i dont know why it happened, I had done the import patch thing a few times, but other than that nothing out of the ordinary, sorry, cannot offer any real explanation

Still waiting on a response on my ticket and with my issue that is being experienced by others.

Have submitted all requested info and files as well as a few extra.

Launcher loads and enter in information. Click play and it goes to loading for approximately 20sec without starting the game. Close the exe file via task manager. Attempted repair and rescache and have done multiple re-installs. Care to address this issue as you have the others?

Same issue, game won´t start, deleted all files in C:\Program Files\CCP\EVE\launcher\cache, restart launcher and nothing, something wrong with this patch !! CPP, please fix the issue, don´t want to open a ticket, there are a lot of players with same issue, don´t seem to be a "local" problem.

The new sword symbol for the Sansha Incursions is not sufficient. It is barely visible in the HUD and looks like nothing more than a line. The old Sansha Incursion icon needs to be reinstated and you should put some thought into making these symbols dynamic if you need to use a different symbol for the Drifter incursions, or have them occupy 2 separate spots.

I'm now trying to run eve through the regular installer but get "Launching" displayed for 20-30 seconds then goes back to "Play". Please help.

After DT today, same problem as yesterday - Launcher appears to be working fine but client never opens.

Luckily, the backdoor route still works to get ingame.

I wrote this earlier on in the forum so you may have overlooked it, I was having the same problem, also don't do it from steam.

I found a way around the Black screen issue if anyone is still having issues with it.

Step 1 (optional but I recommend it as I did this and it worked)

Delete eve from the computer

Step 2:

Reinstall

Step 3:

Run the recache.exe in the CCP folder (Note: you will get error and probably a lot of missing files this is ok)

Once this part has finished running open the eve launcher

Step 4:
Run the Eve repair tool from launcher

Once this is finished close out everything then reopen and enjoy. I will say the game feels a bit strange to play after I did this, such as more pop in from objects and my overview responses but was able to play for a good 4 hours last night.

I know this will sound a bit insane but after you did all this did you make sure to wiggle your mouse cursor the whole time in the launcher window as it updated?

EvE has been working fine for me with the latest update until just this morning, no extra patch download was made but functionality has regressed painfully
I'm getting the black screen bug, or in more detail, the launcher works fine but upon attempting to "Play" the game "Loads Bulk Data" and then remains still on with a black backdrop, the resource loading circle (in all its glaring might), and a movable mouse. Then nothing proceeds from here. I have functionality to return to windows and to open the control/settings menu to close EvE through that method, but alas my game refuses to load.
After reading some similar issues above, I've tried the classic rituals of uninstalling, running the repair tool, and rescan cache in a desperate attempt to resurrect this beast yet to no avail. Information on any further successful attempts by others or even a friendly nod from CCP towards a potential solution would be most appreciated! I think i'm starting to have withdrawals already.......

I recently Uninstalled my Eve and re-Installed it and did the update im sure, Every time i seem to launch the game nothing happens and no client or anything seems to load or happen, I also have a support ticket on this open and have had no response for the past few days now, CCP when can we expect the bug or problem to be fixed for good ??

Had the same issue since the last patch. Have a "core" ticket already submitted and have now started submitting "refer to ticket xxxx" every couple hours in the hopes to get their attention. NO information has been given on this bug nor has CCP even acknowledged it here on the forums.

I've had a support ticket in since patch day, and had some back and forth from a dev that has always ended in "try this and if it doesn't work, reply back and we will be happy to assist you further", and yet when I reply back telling them that it didn't work and documenting my effort I get...complete f'ing silence. Reading in another forum section "Issues & Workarounds" I find that they think they have identified a possible issue (though it doesn't actually identify if its the problem many are experiencing) but it won't be fully addressed until this coming Tuesday. I'm of the opinion that if after Tuesday I can't play then I will be reversing charges with my credit card provider for breach of agreement on my 4 accounts.

I've said since the beginning when this issue popped up that I'm not upset that there is an issue, I understand that there is a lot of moving parts and sometimes the code doesn't play nice with other code. I'm pissed off that CCP has all but ignored requests for guidance. If this indicative of how CCP responds to issues, and I'm thinking specifically of the new player experience, I can fully understand why people don't stay with this game for long, why spend my money every month with a game when the stewards of the game ignore them? I guarantee that when I have an issue preventing me from playing other MMO's, my experience has been rapid resolution and generally felt like they had seen it before and had a ready solution. With CCP its like Radio leading Rainman when an issue pops up and they have to reinvent the wheel to get it fixed.
