Dear CCP,

If it was your intension to destroy all the Great Alliances in this game you're on a great path. The amount of recent changes have begun to compound on one another and as a result the ability to wage war itself has been nerfed.

Granted the stagnation before "Fozzie Sov" had to be addressed but the way its been handled is nothing if not heavy handed. Relegating us to small scale skirmishes based on Sov indexes where almost anyone Sov related or not (NPC Pilots for example) can fit an entosis link and suddenly become a minor threat feels more like punishment then anything else when you take into account the majestic fights and epic battles this game has made its meat and potatoes on for over what 10 years?

I honestly ask you not out of spite or a need to troll anyone but because of my true love for this game. Has there ever been a game created like Eve? Has not Eve's history been its primary form of advertising through the years? Have not those huge battles we've fought become the interest of several Gaming and News corporations producing both praise and further promotion? Has any of CCP's other game ideas been as successful and breath taking as Eve?

I know you guys want to produce more everyone who plays this game is rooting for you to do so. Here in our community you have a loyal base who'll try anything you guys produce but all I ask is that you go about the process of fixing Eve first.

Please remember that while I'm writing this. Whole Alliances who have histories stretching for years in the game are collapsing out of pure boredom.

So instead of just being someone who posts about how Eve is dying and then begs for CCP to fix this without making any suggestions at all, I'm gonna just make a few suggestions of my own and you guys and players alike can troll them to death.

SUGGESTED CHANGES:

Taking Sov: Throw away everything you've thought of before, station grinding and this new entosis system are simply elements of antiquated thinking. You wanted to make fundamental changes in the past, some to no effect, others ot a limiting degree and nows the time to make those changes work for you.

Sov should be taken by being able to fight it out in the stations. Instead of this entosis system being applied now. You replace it with a Hacking one that allows an attacking Alliance to gain access to a station where pilots can then dock, pull out their weapons and fight it out floor by floor. Until one alliance or the other has regained or gained control of the station itself.

Yes this will require walking in stations.

I know, you've tried to impliment it and made hugh (And I mean Donald Trump style "huge") "Huge" promises regarding it. Charriot races all types of stuff so here's what I'm suggesting as a starting point. Forget all of the extras right now, all of it, and just begin by creating the area itself where these battles will take place. Design the interior to the various stations and simply use that as your starting point.

All those other great ideas that you had for stations well those can come at a later date but for now this would be the one great thing that would both fundamentally change the game and also create a new and exciting aspect to Null Sec Sov wars that thousands if not more would want to take part in. Breathing new life into this game that would take it well into the next decade.

This change I'm suggesting isn't an easy one. I know its difficult but if you actually were able to make this happen it would give you the freedom, bring in the big bucks you need and supply you guys with the user base you would require to be able to produce and make successful what ever future games you wished to make.

Jump Fatigue: Time to get rid this system. This may have been created as an answer to how far an alliances holdings can extend but the whole concept goes against everything that made this game what it is. Its a fundamental change that has caused rampant stagnation and boredom. The fact of the matter is a simple one from my perspective. It takes a very long time to skill and quite a bit of real money to maintain your account while you train into some of those big shiny ships. Then to go about building them.

So to now make it more difficult to actually use them to travel in the ways they were always meant to be used is nothing short of a slap in the face to those who've trained into them and also to what Eve is about. The building of enpires.

II know everyone isn't going to aggree with what I'm saying here and I hope this at least may spring some degree of debate. All I really want to make clear is how much I love this game and hopefully make some type of impact that relates to a more successful outcome then the one we're dealing with right now.

I was going to read the OP, but then the irony of seeing a character named 'null sec' in a high sec noob corp made me pass out so i didn't get to read it.

To whatever idiot who rolled a new toon to make this post instead of just using the one you already had, STFU. Many of us have real issues with the way things are going and stupid stuff like what you are doing is counter productive, it just feeds the null sec haters more.

Just remove formal sov and alliances will control space by simply occupying it. I see no problems that could arise from this.

So your solution is that because big hp pool structure grinds didn't work, and you feel the wand waving doesn't either, let's force everyone to play eve as an FPS? Um... Wow, I've seen stealth nerf cloak threads, and stealth butt income ones, but never a stealth buff Dust thread.

Sorry, but if I wanted to play an FPS, I would. There are ample ones on the market. I want to play EVE, so here I am. Please try not advocating a horrible idea that would force me to play an FPS.

That's just cowardice (and on a video game forum no less). It means you know how ignorant what you are saying is.

If you are so risk averse you won't even post something like this with a character that logs into the game, maybe holding/defending sov isn't for you.
