The Maths of ORE reprocessing

Can anyone direct me to a link or page that shows the formula used to calculate reprocessing efficiency.

The spreadsheet I had used in the past was created before many of the recent updates and is now hideously out of date.

thx in advance.

If it is in his way, he will move it. If he is lucky he will be podded 20 jumps from home, for this is the closest he come to being hero.

As stated in this dev blog post from last year, the new formula is:

Reprocessing yield: Station Equipment x (1 + Refining skill x 0.03) x (1 + Refining Efficiency skill x 0.02) x (1 + Ore Processing skill x 0.02) x (1 + Implant modifier))

Thank you for the fast response.

Thx that was also extremely useful, its only quite recently that I have started to wonder how all these formulas work, whereas before I was satisfied that they 'just did', is this just a sign of my OCD kicking in, or an advancement of my playing style?

Advancement of playstyle. I'm not OCD myself by any means, but I build all my own spreadsheets for industry calculations, partly because it helps me gain an understanding of the intimate details of how everything works, which allows you to see all the opportunities to min-max your expenses and profits. That and making your own tools means they do exactly what YOU want them to do.

Another huge benefit is you know they are always as up to date and accurate as you have made them. With online tools, in the absence of a 'up to date as of -patch name-', you don't know if it's still accurate or not.

i build my own spreadsheets as well, as that lets me see the profit margins clearly.

last i checked, the refining window will show you all of your skill-related %s, but not your implant %s. that can be a good point of reference as long as you remember to calculate the extra % for your beancounter implant.

Actually it doesnt seem like the beancounter implant works at the moment.

Playing around with a spreadsheet and station reprocessing isn't where it should be at. The implant is listed in the quota window, but the final % and the output are equivalent to no implant.

*EDIT* Yes its ore.

Reprocess a batch of let's say 10 000 Veldspar and see if the result coincides with what the implant should give you. Last time I checked it was only a display bug and it worked.

Just tried reprocess in Station. Got exactly what it said in the Quota window - which is exactly what the skills would give without the implant.
