As calamities go, this hardly registers on the scale after the last week.

And at least these systems will be returned to Imperial rule at some point.

Whilst I congratulate you on another corp change and an undoubted victory, are you saying that the relocation of the local defense force back home from it's extended foreign deployment had nothing to do with your change of fortune?

Come. Nobody's asking you to practice self-loathing Deitra, and I enjoy a good PR campaign as much as the next Caldari, but let's not start looking delusional, eh?

For the first time since I started the conversation, he looks me dead in the eye. In his gaze are steel jackhammers, quiet vengeance, a hundred thousand orbital bombs frozen in still life.

Another corp change? This is my third corp (fifth if you count the two corporations created for specific functions, funding myself and a few close friends), and me going back to those who taught me pretty much everything I know about fleet combat as a capsuleer. I don't make a habit of changing employment often. Also until today I didn't even know of your moving back. Now knowing that, yes it most definitely had something to do with it. Self loathing and being unwilling to take credit for the work of others are two separate things and both are beneath me.

Yes, clearly you don't have a dog in this fight at all.

Are you being sarcastic or just stating fact? My money is not made in factional warfare and I have been around long enough to recognize these threads for exactly what they are; Somehow more of a joke than the factional warfare itself.

To clear things up for you: A person whom I have condemned many times for her actions posts a thread in which a large number of my former corpmates decide to take the chance to share some of their more colorful writing and inside jokes.

You, Aphoxema and the OP are the only ones who are taking this seriously at all. Calm down and enjoy yourself.

Also Sid probably removed his post for a reason.

Deitra left us on good terms, having learned more about different styles of combat. She felt she needed to return to help her people and teachers, that's all. She may be back, she may not. But we wish her the best, and happy huntings.

Show them what you're made of, Vess. Make us proud.

I more than likely will be. No clue when but I value what scope taught me as well, which was everything I never thought would be as crucial as it is now. I still hold them in high regards whether my actions prove otherwise. After all "Chain of command" and such. I may not make the orders but I will follow them regardless...

TLF: Victory!

PY-RE: Pfff. What victory?

TLF: We got your space. What we haven't got yet, we're getting.

PY-RE: You didn't "get" it. We let you have it.

TLF: We still got it! Also, you people are terrible.

Etc.

Only with more jokes, abuse, and general carrying on.

Why not just call it "Whiny Kids v. Complaining Children" and be done with it?

The last time I saw you, I think it may have been between moves, because it was one of the standard holding corporations, so moving out of those is something you should be congratulated on. Of the two last things you mentioned one I said you shouldn't practice and the other I never mentioned at all. I never accused you of taking credit for anyone's work, Deitra.

The accusation of being delusional was entirely conditional on the answer to my first question being 'No'.

Honestly, when's the last time I savaged you for no good reason?

Ahh, this thread brings back memories.

TLF have had a hard time, let them celebrate a little. Amarr Mil have been carried by PYRE since DnG left, now that DnG have returned but PYRE have left we will see if Amarr Mil will pay the price of concentrating their best PvPers into 1 corp.

I think the TLF are just breathing a collective sigh of relief here really. I'm sure what they mean to say is 'Good Fight PYRE, good luck and don't come back till we have a medal'

But then hey that would be the smart thing to say...

Blink

In response to the Minmatar baiting short stories...

"My Lord Chamberlain?"

Court Chamberlain Pomik Haromi looked up from the pile of correspondence that had been building up from Empire loyalist capsuleers stating their interest in representing various Royal Heirs and frowned at his receptionist.

"What is it? I hope it's important?"

"I have a priority signal from one of the Mega Corporations of the Caldari State. They wish to speak to you directly, they think that they can help us!"

The Chamberlain pushed the paperwork aside. "Patch them through at once"

An image appeared on the Chamberlains personal coms channel of a dashing red headed Sebiestor female.

Ms Vanis-Tor "My Lord Chamberlain...has your Empire had an accident that was not your fault? I would like to talk to you about our new Drifter insurance product..."

The channel quickly turns to static and the receptionist calls for paramedics, his Lordships blood pressure was causing problems again...

Every single attempt the Matari Militia has made on Aldodan for a year has quite literally bounced off, often with a comical "boiinng" noise.

Then 48 hours after the major Amarr group living in the area move out, the Minmatar are crowing of their great victory.

Congrats on the undefended systems I guess. Took you ******* long enough.

I'm calm. Much like you, I recognized the thread for what it is, and I'm not really into useless back-and-forth or fanciful tales of slave abuse. So I thought I'd dissect some all-too-common accusations.

Completely ignoring any argument about whether or how often we indulge in all the blobbing, bling-fitting, and linking we supposedly do, it never fails to tug one of my eyebrows up when someone goes on about how horrible we are for using what we've got.

Are there not a few pilots in the TLF who can run links? Didn't capturing seven-eights of the warzone yield enough reward to pay for some more effective gear? Aren't there strategies for fighting the presumed PY-RE blob beyond n+1, or running away?

I see this as an externalization of control, a certain kind of setting yourself up for failure in such a way that you can afterwards absolve yourself of any responsibility. It's an attitude unbecoming and of little use to a warrior wanting to improve his craft.

Even though our love is cruel; even though our stars are crossed.
