What to do when you have >1m SP?

Well, i hate salvaging. I'd love having a new player following me around salvaging all my wrecks. Even just looting my wrecks for me. . . for US would be nice.
Maybe hop into an industrial and haul jettisoned ore from the belts to station.

I think it'd be great if someone would hop into a damn t1 frigate and TACKLE these stupid kiters who keep getting away.

There are definitely a couple ways you can contribute.

What you do with less than 1m SP is the same thing that you do with more than 1m SP.

Not a whole freakin' lot, but for some reason you still keep logging in.

I think the plan for me at the moment is to do some of the Epic Arc missions as apparently they are fun and I havnt done them yet and once I can fly atleast a cruiser decently I might try and find a corp in null sec to rat with :)

Fly safe, best of luck and always remember, eve is a harsh place. The Ruthlessness is counterbalanced by probably the best supporting players in any MMO. If stuff happens, get mad, swear, whatever, but dont rage quit. Hop on help channel or forums, say what happened and ask for feedback on how to improve if ya need it. Eve is emotional. With threat of permanent loss, it is full of highs and lows. That rollercoaster is what makes this game more intense than any other out there.

SOE Epic Arc is achievable at 1 mill SP.

The others not so much. Look them up on EVE survival.


One suggestion. Rather than racing up the ship sizes (people do crazy stuff like fly Battleships with medium guns fitted cos they do not have BS gun skills and " a bigger ship has gotta be better" - and no it is not if you do not have the matching other skills) take a racial frigate to level 5 and then train into some of the T2 frigates like covops, interceptors. Assault Frigates, Bombers etc ...

2. Join a high sec corp and awox they're mining fleet

3. Join a newbie welcoming corp that provides daily content , help and items ( skillbooks, ships etc )

If your planning on moving to null sec, exploration is probably easier and more profitable than ratting. Hunt down relic sites and hack them. Do the sisters of eve epic arc first though, it will net you some startup isk.

Dont join any of those corps you will be hated by anyone not in those corps, a good place for you would be like Space Ship Gamers inc they are a great corp to fly with, every easy to learn pvp, and own a pretty safe low sec pocket for missions.

It will teach you a lot. How to travel smart, D-Scan, etc.. All great skills to have no matter what you're doing in EVE, and they're player skills as opposed to skill points. Have fun out there.

If you are still reading, and unless you are ready to venture out of HS for data/relic sites, I suggest running low High Sec Combat Signatures, after researching them online, with a frigate/destroyer.

The profits are far larger (occasional 100mil drops), and you will begin to understand some simple (albeit NPC) combat related skills. Its (reasonably) safe, profitable, and helps fund yourself while training combat skills (which is important on your main, no matter what else you plan to do in EVE).

PM me if you want more info. I can provide you with websites that detail the contents of Combat Sigs and Anomalies(and their escalations), as well as advising you on how to best skill/fit and act to fulfill them.

Whuh? Did you read original post? It was a legitimate question and one I hear regularily. Look at recruitments, minimum 10sp to apply and all that. Read more and the thread creator chats and gives feedback, been a fantastic thread.

I loved my first pvp experience. Tackle griffin with ECM! Zoom zoom kite til the dps got there! Woo for having no SP!

HTFU vs Incubation.

It takes time to develop basic EVE, ship and systemic skills.

You will get murdered in PvP without all three.

Time.

Time to do all three above, matters most,
Ergo:Sticking with the game, no matter how you play it, and even if you dont.

Dont swallow the bait, and think you can compete until youve skilled basics to 3 atleast.
You cant unless opponent is drunk, mentally ******** or (even less likely) a noob like you.

Explore, experience in HS, read up on the game, make some friends, and most importantly, skill up.

I do not see it that way. Is it sharks, or a pack of wolves? I have a view to pvp. If I had the isk that many do, I would buy in bulk disposable ships for new players to use. Seen Mike Azariah (sp?) doing that in system. Just giving out ships to newbies. Project pony or something. Great motivation, pilots get and can see a nice fitted, but not expensive fit.

For PVP, I would take them in, show em how to keep their pod alive (not so big now since clone fee gone) and then just feed them ships til they get the sp.

"Welcome to the corp, you are going to die, you are going to die lots in fact. But we will support you in return for you supporting us"

Ideally, the new pilot just needs to learn his role, and develop his skill. Ships are given fitted and free in conjunction with that player's goal and a skill (sp and how to play) training plan to help them become a versatile and effective pilot. Their pay, well they can keep the insurance payouts.

Result, from day one a player can pvp. They experience the highs and lows and adapt. Eventually they get the ability to earn their SP, isk and all that.

Damn... wish I had that when I was a newb.
