Can't CCP do ANYTHING right?

I took three days away to see friends and come back to find that I can't log in after a patch!
This reminds me of the time that CCP messed up my windows installation and many other peoples' too!!
All I want to do is play the game and none of the advice on the net works for me.
For God's sake CCP employ some decent programmers, and stop having to fix bodged amateur coding!!

Galatea has been successfully deployed?

No I can't do better but I pay CCP to do the job right in the first place!
They seem to fail too often :)

Mine patched fast and perfectly fine. Mayhaps try the technical section to see if there is a root cause. The different operating systems and configurations make it hard to test everything. On top of that, add in bugs caused by people who think they can tweak and mod and hack and crack and look at pron without anything getting into the system just increases the issue.

No, you pay them for access to their infrastructure so you can load your characters. Your money has no incentive on their programming.

Back in the days of Win95 and graphics that used to improve in leaps and bounds there used to be often issues in games after updates.

The problems seemed to be hardware/drivers for the most part.


These days you tend to get less trouble. I'm running Win8.1 and have no mods installed. It works fine for me and loads of others.

Well you youngsters sure are cute, complaining about an issue that you could very easily do a forum search for an oh idk, find the answer to.

Back in my day, which was most likly before you even heard of eve, a patch was unplayable after launch. And i don;t mean this namby pamby oo i can;t update and i'm too lazy to search a fix for it, so instead of asking nicely for help i'll cry liek the little baby i am whaaaa crap. I mean you log in and the server dies in 5 min. Or is so lagged you can;t do anything. and this would go on for a week.

So can ccp do anything right?

yea.. i think they can.

Use search and stop acting like my damn 4 year old when i tell him he can't have a cookie for dinner.
