No wonder the PSU is down, we didnt have this launcher when the PSU reached peak a few years ago...

cant even launch directly from exe anymore rip thanks for making this game ever more harder

After todays's patch My launcher dont even start patching, My PLAY button is greyed-out, exefile gives me incompatible build.

Never EVER had problems with launcher before - thats the first time.

Agreed - not with PCU but with the premise that CCP cant even make proper launcher.

If you are using windows, try starting the client directly, not using the launcher.
1) Right-click your EVE launcher icon, and select "Open file location".
2) In the window that opens, locate the folder named "bin", and double-click it.
3) Locate the file named "exefile", or "exefile.exe", and double-click it.
4) Login
5) Fly safe!

Had problems with patching and errors. s;dp overview not populating entities yesterday or delayed population. Now today, the patcher is stuck at initializing, wtf?

After running Rescache it pointed to download some files but then it crashed.

Try check it again: Mine just suddenly started working for no apparent reason, other than that I cleared the cache. This is on a Macbook Pro.

EDIT: TRANQUILITY IS DOWN.

Trying repair.exe, will post when done with results.

Also - after few restarts of launcher there was a small change. before I had no indication about anything going on, now there is at least "initializing" in bottom left corner, but still nothing happens in few minutes.

In the same directory that the eve.exe file is stored, there is a repair.exe program that is supposed to repair a corrupted installation of Eve. If you're running a windows box, you can right-click repair.exe and select "Run as Administrator".

If you have a Mac or Linux box, I don't know what the equivalent for "Run as Administrator" would be.



+1 for stuck at Initialising. Connected to the game before downtime with no problems, cannot get past Initialising now. Ran repair as Admin, still getting stuck at Initialising.

UPDATE; Something happened while I typed this post, I'm logged in and spinning my ship now.

After failed repair.exe try I once again launched Launcher and it worked without any problems.

After instant initializing, comes "Checking Resource cache ...89%"

Just logged into eve again to try it and it now says client update unsuccessful and its loading some red bar,

Experiencing graphics issue where the ship disappears in space against the space background. It will reappear against a non-space background (eg planet or moon or ships).

This happened after this release and was still not fixed after today's downtime.

A support ticket (Ticket # 35101) has been filed for this with details.

Please fix this soon.

patched "fine" for me:
"fine"= if i moved the mouse over the patching client it was working fine: when i moved the mouse 2-3 times out of the launcher window client just went instant frozen; so i moved the mouse over the instaler window got the game patched and working in <5'
i'm using windows 7

I had the issue of launcher remaining at "Initializing...."

I restarted the launcher multiple times and ran the repair tool twice normally and ran it once as admin. This did not resolve the issue.

The issue has now resolved apparently without my input. I started the launcher again and it downloaded a small amount of data. I was then able to launch the game from the launcher.

Didn't work for me, the Repairtool gave me a huge error message. Well, at least it is a different error message from before, the previous one was getting quite boring.
