Ships & Modules

hey all, returned to the game a few days back and joined some friends doing wormhole PVE.

the group i am with generally work in a gang but i am completly stuck with what ship to use. i only have skills to fly the basic minmatar ships (up to and including battleship) and can use T2 projectiles up to medium havn't quite got large yet. My group are mostly doing c3 and c4 wh.

I am completely out of the loop with this game as last time i played was about 2009. from what i am reading minmatar ships have been nurfed pretty hard and whenever i look up fits for ships all i'm really seeing is fly caldari lol. I am currently working on getting a svipul but in all honest i have no idea what to fly as when i last played the hurricane was THE ship to fly.

any help from anyone as to what ship/fit would work to join my corp PVE in WH would be awesome. thanks alot

loki can always use webs and target painters so the rest of the gang hits harder. I've seen clips of vargurs soloing sites. not sure if it was a c4 or c5.

Nope. Minmatar has been left alone for the most part, everything else has just been buffed.



Thats the thing, since everything has been buffered to a more level playing field there isnt one ship leagues better than the rest (For the most part).

So, with those points out of the way. Do you run any specific WH types or specific tank type?

If I were you I'd train for the Sleipnir, it's still fairly good. If you're looking for something right away then train for the Loki. The webs alone justifies the Loki's usefulness in WHs.

Arty munin will give you the range you want to hit sleepers, but it's got terrible tracking, low DPS, and it's not very tanky. As other people have mentioned, the scythe, scimi, and huginn are excellent support options if you can't fly a loki. You could also fly a bellicose and slap a TP and some HM launchers on it if you want to go el cheapo. It's not great, but it's better than chasing after them forever in an autocannon ship.

in all honesty i have only just come back to eve i know next to nothing about WH. my group have just told me they do PVE mostly and asked me to join them.

i have just got the ability to fly a svipul but most of the fits i am finding show it with 6 guns where it only seems to have 4 now. would one of these be good to join them? what would be a good fit for it?

of the ships mentioned only the scyth and bellicose i can actually flt.

Strange you are here but not discussing same issues with friends. What ships they are using to run those wh's. Why don't you stick to the same path as they are and train your corp fleet ships. Loki is fine you deff should train that. And i would just recommend and try Angel ships, or fleet issue ships since you are minmatar focus pilot.
