Wait, the incursions are in Khanid space (yikes, it's homeland!) yet only in lowsec (oh, then I can wait... I'm from Thashkarai).

Seriously CCP. Seriously. Even if I felt inclined to losing ships for no known reward, with a chance of negative player interaction, you pretend that I move out of highsec so I must face PvP too?

I missed the rather large detail of it being in lowsec. I wonder I that's keeping discussion to a minimum between people who'd rather not brave it on top of it not seeming terribly attractive in any space. Is it wrong to be hoping these burn a path to highsec in the near future? Having to supply chain into lowsec due to the loss potential only to be chased by locals does not seem fun.

Again, as some people noted, this is not the location to ***** about your PvP, Null is dying, I can't flight my blah blah blah ship.

PLEASE NOTE OBSERVATIONS OR INTERACTIONS with drifters as they pertain to the new incursions and the EVE storyline. All other useless discussion can be taken elsewhere.

One of the guys from Stay Frosty whose been playing around with the Drift-cursion today mentioned that it seemed that Drifters killed at gates and stations seemed to help turn the scales, not just running the sites. The best way he could pull that off was to lead Drifters to a gate where Amarr Navy NPC's we're sitting and then letting them do the dirty work.

He also managed to get a couple PvP kills. Yay content!

You can interfere with missions, incursions, Ratting.
But its all not good enough...



They're just a bunch of people who've somehow ended up thinking that they're entitled to anything they ask for. The only thing that these people need is a massive b***hslap back to reality. If they want to unsub then so much the better.


They got that way because CCP does give them whatever the ask (whine) for and if youre in such an entitled position you begin to expect it and frankly give how CCP does whatever they want why not abuse the privilege, i would if i was them.

It is CCPs entrenched belief that there is some magic, 'something', that will change the inate personality of highsec players into nullsec players and no amount of evidence to the contrary seems to be making it clear to CCP that no such magic thing exists.

There is tactics, but nothing executed yet.

Sad part is? These sites earn less than sansha incursions but are said to eat ships... hrm.... that is enticing to go to lowsec. At that isk, almost a joke. I mean I earn double that in isk and LP value in a tick easily in an l4 mission.

Yeah, we will have to clear them, but they will only be cleared if they get too annoying to someplace specific or if somebody really wants the fun. Shame. I will probably do em, but for a change of pace. More if I find them fun and not taking a huge loss.

This thread is about the Drifter incursions and the Amarr Empire's defensive response. Not being able to afford a sub is a poor reason for off topic personal attacks.

I have not seen anything about this new type of incursion in the missions and complexes sub-forum yet but I checked only a couple of hours ago.

Given that the Drifters change their tactics and have a Death Ray (that's what I'm calling it and I don't care) this is going to be very very interesting to see if the players manage to turbo farm them. Bling boats are a bad idea when you got little death stars all over the place.



If Sansha incursions don't get nerfed somehow, I doubt anybody is going to care. On the other hand, the drifter incursions might end up drawing an entirely new crowd to the whole thing. If they really do spread if nobody does anything about it, sooner or later, they'll end up in places where people don't want them and we'll be forced to PvE :D I'm sure that'll be fun /sarcasm

I am a roleplayer and even I dont care. Let it sit out in lowsec. Clear that riffraff out. Same reason I dont pvp is going to be same reason wont head there. Hella lot of work for potentially minimal or negative payout. Having to constantly be on guard and probable pvp already camping entry? I wont be able to get in for the first place. Nope. I will wait for highsec, thank you.

I am a little unclear why we really care if they spread.

Khanid lowsec is dead you often transverse 3 or 4 systems before seeing another ship, but aside from that how much are they going to effect the odd person who does do exploration/mining/PI there anyway ?

When the going gets tough the Gankers get their CSM rep to change mechanics in their favour.

I'm not a roleplayer and I find it hard to care but mostly because it seems like a lot of effort to care. It's not like I don't want to but at this point, I am so put off by Eve lore that it feels so distant. I know we are all on the same server but for how much I care, all this drifter stuff and titans being blown up in highsec might as well be happening on a dedicated RP server. It is that impactless.

I'll take that as a compliment, as that's what my experience with customer relations says. Buyers buy what they want to buy, not what you want to sell. Someone should make a statement about this unknown and surprising fact, something like "The customer is always right"...
