I uninstalled and re-installed.

When I uninstalled I didint delete the cache etc (unticked the option on the last page of the uninstall dialogue).

When I re-installed it took about 2 minutes (was expecting a lot longer).

[edit] made a copy of my eve folder in documents but I didn't appear to need it, all settings were as before.

As soon as I re-installed, Launcher working as normal.

[edit 2] realised I had spent far more time looking at this thread waiting for a fix than it even took me to write this post :).

Same thing as everyone else creating patch. I tried the supposed fix it did not work.

i've managed to get mine patched but after the launcher it won't launch the client via EXE or launcher tryed a re-install to no avail

Tried manual patching and reinstalling, but no change. The launcher reports that the Client is ready, but won't launch the game. Exefile does not work either.

Is it intended that you cannot light cynos in Drifter incursion systems, even though cyno jamming is not listed as one of the incursion effects? (unlike for regular incursions which typically have it listed as the first effect).

Downloaded patch through launcher, took a bit but seemed to work. Game will not launch now. Hit play and goes to launching for a few seconds then goes back to play. Tried repair tool and reinstalling the game, still nothing.

Please be aware that we are still diagnosing and working towards resolving the patching issues. Please also note that these issues are not related to today's deployment of Galatea, rather they are continued fallout from the CDN issues yesterday.

If you've already patched and the launcher is reporting that the client is ready, but then the client won't start, please contact Customer Support for assistance.

If the launcher is stuck and is not patching, please try again. We've just made a couple of changes (@ 16:59 GMT) that we are fairly confident will resolve most of the CDN caching issues.

I played fine yesterday with all of my accounts, after the patch today all I get is a black screen. I've uninstalled and reinstalled and the intro movie plays fine then it goes to a black screen. I've used the new launcher with no difference and I've used the old launcher same thing Black screen. Very disappointed here.

Same here. These launcher issues happen way too often. Come on CCP, I have a Corp to run.

After 1659hrs the EVE launcher still displays the "Creating patch: 0.0%" status. This is after a clean re-install, the patch import, multiple restarts and waiting.

Please advise.

The launcher always breaks the game every single patch and has done so since it was released. CCP refuses to believe this and refuses to remove it even though every single user seems to hate it.

After all, why would they want to have content, paying customers playing their game?

Game is loading now for me, but the client is now very slow and laggy, and gets random crashes. Gotta love patch day.

after all the other tries, repairs, clear cache, etc.

uninstalled and reinstalled eve from scratch

same problem. launcher runs, enter login info, see 'PLAY', click on it.
Launching appears in window, sorta, then rolls back to PLAY.

now 3pm local U.S. CDT STILL rolls over and dies.

In safe mode the patch was applied...hope this works for you guys too.

For those with black screens and where the client fails to start at all: Please send also a bug report about this and attach logs from logserver (follow the link in my signature for instructions).

Patching worked and i was able to get in


This worked for me, albeit a very slow download, took close to 20minutes to download the patch via the client and got stuck at 97.4%, forcibly closed the launcher and restarted it and away it went. Finally can get into game 6 hours later lol.

i have three accounts i contacted your customer spport now im contacting you i reformatted think it was a machine error i reinstall dx9 think it was a graphic error now i find out its your error not very impressed with ccp or the dev team
