Updater update error (25.08.2015) ,mine resolved, others still have it

I'm currently at 40 restarts and a fuckload of repairs. still nothing, the linked patch doesn't work either, the braindead launcher doesn't recognize it.. Evil

So I just checked the launcher again and it dropped to from 6.4% to 3.3% *sigh* CCPls

Edit: Now its at 2.3%..........................

Was your client at the latest patch? Could be the reason that this specific update doesn't work.

Alrighty children listen up this worked for me, for those who CAN NOT let the launcher recognise the file do THIS

Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Click Folder options > Move to View Tab > Unselect ''Hide Extensions for known File Types'' > after that, do as quoted. if u rename the file while this is unselected the launcher WILL recognize it,


Not saying it will work for everyone but it worked for me,

Yeah, you should replace the .zip to the .patch.
Just adding that to the name will not work.

Shows you how to show the .zip so that you can change it to .patch. Worked like a charm for me after following Mona's link. thanks for being awesome!

Dissapointed that YET AGAIN CCP didn't seem to put any effort in to this.

If you have updated already, try to run the client without the launcher:

your eve folder\bin\exefile.exe

Strange. Check if you have any eve process stuck and force then to close so you could try again.
Other than that maybe just the repair or running with the logger to see if you can have any idea of the issue.
