Galatea has been successfully deployed o August 25 during an regular downtime.


With Galatea we see an iteration on sovereignty capture mechanics, new Designer SKINs, improved visual effects of utility modules, a new Dominix model, UI improvements and more. The full details of all changes and improvements are available in the Galatea patch notes.

Please post general feedback and discussions in this thread.

Report issues with the release on the PC in the Galatea issues thread.
For Mac users, there is, as always, a thread on the Macintosh forums for discussion of this release here.

I'll miss the ASCII art easter egg on the old domi (the smily-faced man with his hands on his hips), but you've done a good job at rejigging one of my favourite ships in the game.

PS as a fan of 80s electro/synth music, I'm loving the loading screen tunes you guys keep putting out.

I see on the patch notes that the Imp and Fiend have been added. When can we expect to see these on the market? Are the blueprints seeded so that we can build them?

they are AT prize ships, there wont be BPCs.

problem :
solved by closing the launcher,... and restarted it again....

You guys are right of course. I forgot the special edition ships don't have prints. Thanks for the correction.

Hey, not sure whether this is the right place to say this, but every time I try and download the update the game (via the launcher), it gets stuck at Creating Patch 0.0%.

Any ideas on what I can do to fix this?

I recently switched to windows 10, and I have noticed that the progress bar is not updated unless
1) The launcher is NOT the window which has focus
2) OR(!) if the launcher window has focus I have to move my mouse around inside the window to get it to update the display.

Perhaps this is what is going on with some of the players.

yep, having patch problems too. bar keeps freezing. download stalls. never finishes.

Anyone else having severe issues downloading the update? Mine has gotten stuck at different points each time. Creating patch 0.0 2x's. Downloading Patch @ roughly 82%, 55%, 71%, we will see about this one. Each time I wait for about 5 minutes before taking action to try and fix it. Even tried to repair the game in between downloads.

I can confirm this. It is not only true for the progress bar, but for the server status text, too. (at least it seems so to me)

Yep.... CCP forgot to charge up the mice it seems in the rush of completion during DT.

Download speed...0%. progress bar 0.0%

Confirmed, I'm having issues with the launcher freezing up to, won't go past "Creating patch 0.0%" then freezes up.

Task managers shows it as "Not Responding"

* Stuck at "Creating patch 0.0%"; restarting the launcher doesn't help. No CPU or disk activity to speak of.
* Repair Tool (after update) fails with "Data Package Unavailable."
* "launcher.exe is not responding" (Close the program.)
