Funeral Mass and Vigil (Updated times Monday 24th)

There will be a church service on the 24th of this month. 1800 at the Mehkios Graveyard and then 0300 the following morning at the Amarr Legio Basilica. The time has been moved up in light of the military situation in Providence.

At 1800 there will be a golden fleet at the Mekhios Graveyard to remember the life and Glory of Empress Jamyl Sarum.

At 0300 the next morning (9 hours later) there will be a funeral mass at the Amarr Legio Basilica.

From now until 1700 on the 24th, there will be a prayer vigil around the wreck of TES Seraph It will be continuous.

Jamyl Sarum was a gift from God, a true gem of the Empire. Her death is a tragedy beyond words. I invite all the faithful, our friends and allies to attend either or both services.

I would like to be present, schedule permitting.
I believe many other [SFRIM] personnel will also likely wish to attend and express their feelings.

Every capsuleer should attend this service to honour the Fallen Empress and show solidarity within the empires. This will send a message to the Drifters that such an act of aggression will not remain unanswered. It will be met with unity and concerted effort to drive these invaders out of our space.

Whilst this is a noble gesture and goal, I doubt that there will ever be this kind of solidarity while four empires remain as four. Our differences and shared histories have made for poor foundations and reputations.
So many people have already expressed their ill opinions and lack of respect for Her Majesty.

I fear you may be right. I can only hope that enough capsuleers band together to stand up against the Drifter aggression.

Jamyl may have started the process of freeing the billions of Minmatar slaves the empire still holds, but she did not finish it. Until every Minmatar soul knows the taste of freedom, there will be only celebration whenever a tragedy befalls the Empire.

I am no petty man. My Minmatar heritage does not prevent me from understanding how serious this new threat to us is. God knows we cannot make it out here alone - where exactly shall this vigil be held? I am not well-aqcuainted with the Amarr regions.

I cannot, in good conscience, attend the vigil for one who has committed such atrocities as Jamyl Sarum I has. In a few short years she has brought much shame to the Empire, as well as the once great house Sarum. However, I know there were many who respected her, and what she stood for. To those I do offer my deepest condolences. The loss of a leader, especially one who was as strong as Jamyl was, is never a laughing matter. Enemy to my ideals she may have been, but she was one to respect.

Mourn the victorious dead, salute them, then carry on with rebuilding a house broken from inside and out. The Imperium stands ready to help on the material side, while Pope Max Singularity stands for your spiritual needs. Together we may bring forth a reborn and renewed Amarr! The time for fighting is past, a new empire awaits.

Lord willing I will be there weather conditions permitting. If not I will Be hosting it at my system I am in just not sure of the time. Also being in Ministry as well. I will pick a time for the service if I cannot be there. Maybe pick something Nice and send it via courier. Will send what we can. I will have to talk to the crew. Maybe as they a celebration of her life fire works. If still around orbit a station or an belt and let off the fireworks if we cannot make it to the system she passed away in which was Safizon. May the Empress Rest in Peace. Cry She was a great leader and upcoming Queen. Now why those B@$tard DRIFTERS killed her what was so important that they had to kill her? Was it implant upgrades that were coming or what I guess will all be hunting them down b4 they get to big like an incursion!!! But we need more powerful weapons. Maybe the Queen will still know. Have to wait long time now till a month or so after the service. Being Caldari means much but also serving for the Amarr Empire She will be missed. My friends and others remember and be careful of what maybe to come but for now, remember her and what she has done for us. Lets eat and drink and remember her. But be vigilant too I suspect we are far from alone and feel they might be watching us who can tell. Stay safe if you can run run if not fight for us all and remember overloads if you can. I have other Obligations and Duties, so I will not be attending.
