Sounds legit I'm on BT too.

Would be nice to hear from CCP though. For all we know they're not even investigating yet.

Amazon.co.uk also fubarred. Maybe some of the EVE hosting is done on Amazon cloud...

I also have the same problem. Launcher is grey, fonts changed to times new roman, no response from the server. Come on CCP, we are consumers and we pay for quality services.

Same problem for me. I'm on BT. If I use a VPN it works fine - reinforces the suspicion that its related to BT.

This tweet suggests its just a dns issue. And indeed if I change my DNS settings to a public dns server (eg google's 8.8.8.8) then I can connect.

I have to agree with Gaussian Blur. I am also with BT / UK. I wonder waht happened.

I believe they use Amazon's cloud for streaming textures. I'm not seeing any hops from my ISP either, Seems like a total networking/peering failure. Note the TQ Cluster is still in CCP's only datacenter. Recently they implimented DDoS/Traffic cleaning with Verisign over the weekend which resulted in me being unable to access EVE Online or even login. I raised a ticket and have not heard back since.


British Telecom has had DNS issues with AWS Cloud, Still unable to connect to eve. :-/
