Empress Jamly Sarum was dead. Amarr navy have to face the drifters attack and have no more extra manpower to defend Sansha Incursion. It is the time for Sansha to revenge.

Might be wrong here, but were not drifters giving hard time to Sansha's nation as well?

Correct, several of the staging wormhole systems Sansha inhabited came under heavy attack by an unknown entity (presumed Drifters). In some of these systems, sansha is even driven out, so they surely suffered a blow as well.

So an attack on Amarr isn't the wisest thing to do, especially as the Drifters didn't really weaken the Amarr Navy. Their only major victory against the Navy is the first attack on Safizon, the other attacks the Navy & capsuleers stood their ground.
The drifter tactis isn't one of conquest, but so far rather seems to be focused on certain objectives (retrieve data from Jove Observatories & assassinate the Empress, ignoring everyone else)

Why are goons concerned about Sanshas? How can you have PvE time when youre supposed to be burning Provi or whatever?

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

I like NPC stories within Eve, Is there a forum where I can read up on stuff like this?

Well the amarr didint lose a great deal of ships to be fair and then you have this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K-TzmmJ5Tkg there are like 4000 battleships and like 20 titans parked there and that fleet its just a probably small portion of the full amarr fleet a few hundreds of ships and a titan should mean nothing to the amarr, those guys probably have more ships than people.

There was also that quote in the art of new eden where it was mentioned that the amarr had "thousands" of titans.

In addition, there are three novels and many in game things relate to trailers and scope videos on youtube. See Eve Online user.

To quote Lfod Shi

The ratting itself is PvE. Getting away with it is PvP.

Does it really count as a defeat when you only bother to field 1/3rd of your enemy's forces and still inflict far more damage than they do?

Drifters are guaranteed at least one kill for every ship they lose. Considering they likely use the same Sleeper Immortality implants as the first generation clone soldiers, this doesn't exactly seem like a highly sacrificial tactic for them. Most of the empire navy ships are crewed with regular people, not capsuleers. It's hard to say any of these could be considered victories for anyone other than the drifters.

I do find it interesting that despite all the horn tooting CONCORD has been doing, they haven't really lifted a finger yet in any of these fights as far as I'm aware.
