For those that didnt know, a long long time ago in EVE, missiles actually hit collidable objects and were destroyed.

1st - this should be in F&I, why on earth do people always post ideas in general discussion?

2nd - no, our sensors are really complex, advanced, uber, or whatever you'd like to see... you don't really see the ship any way, if it's a bs or smaller, how on earth would you see it from 100km with your bare eye? Almost sure you'd miss it.

3rd - I want objects to block shots fired from guns, that's all I want...

I recall that CCP dev Oveur once had the idea (pet project) of something like hollow asteroids where you could hunt/ hide in. Think I even saw a screen shot of that.

Who knows, maybe in a few years.

I like more some logical places for hiding...
- Like gas clouds/little nebulaes that kill your sensors (you see only like 50m around)
- Or maybe better... that there are many types of gasses that kill one of few types of sensors so ships of some races see things better then others in that gas clouds.
- And, that D-scan don't see things in orbit behind the planets and sun (they have magnetic field to block electric/magnetic signals and mass and many elements in its core to block heat/radiation and other signatures)

The idea of being able to hide from sensors is good. However, the way you have it designed with LOS, in my opinion, isn't. It has been said in this thread before somewhere (too lazy to find and quote) that a much better way to implement this would be having gas clouds and the like that limit or distort your scanners inside of that gas cloud. This would mean that it would hide everyone inside of the gas cloud, AND it would basically completely turn off scanners for anyone inside the cloud.

This would only work if you powered down all your systems, breathed very slowly and held your hand above the big, red button marked EMP.
This is my signature. There are many others like it, but this one is mine.  Without me, my signature is useless. Without my signature, I am useless
