Many thanks to the wonderful and passionate ISD members, and especially to those who helped streaming the first AT XIII tournament. I hope the Community Spotlight gives a bit of an insight. Smile

Interesting to read about ISD stepping up to handle streaming duties for the early stages, just wish I'd known about it beforehand as I may have watched some of those matches.

As for the rest of the AT, I still wonder greatly why CCP have (yet again) decided it's a good idea to have the finals held on one of the weekends where there is another major esports event taking place. Personally if I'm sat looking for something to watch it's going to be ESL cologne rather than the AT, and I doubt I'm the only one. Does nobody consider what else will be streamed at the same time when scheduling the AT, or is it really a conscious decision to compete directly with a vastly more successful/popular games/tournaments?

Id like to begin with a thanks to the ISD for the boradcasting they did do. Not only do you folks volunteer to do what your normally do you took on a work load that CCP should have done in the 1st place.

Now to adressing CCP.

You seriously want to call the 1st weekend the preliminaries? I am curious did anyone even bother to look the meaning of that word up. Here let me get you the definintion of that word.

noun
noun: preliminary; plural noun: preliminaries

1.
an action or event preceding or preparing for something fuller or more important.
"the bombardment was resumed as a preliminary to an infantry attack"

So what your saying when you call the 1st weekend a preliminary is that its not all that important. So what your telling us is that you view all the teams flying that 1st weekend as not important. The $$$ those teams provided your company must not be that important either.

The 1st weekend was not preliminaries it was the AT the preliminaries were in all the practices done on SISI.

Thanks for the huge slap in the face to all of those that participated in the AT CCP. Thanks for telling us all that we really dont mean anything to you in the long run. Seems the only thing your worried about is taking our money and wasting it on the developement of other games like DUST and the other two new games you are working on.

Someone(s) in your company has some serious mental education as well as business decision issues.

Sadly your doing to the whole game what you did to the AT this year as well. Gutting it bit by bit until eventually your gonna have to shut your doors because nobody is going to want to play the game anymore.

I watched as you built up the AT and the NEO infact it was those two things that got me to open a second account and start training a pilot to fly in them. So after 2 years of work you take away the NEO and reduce the AT to a joke compaired to what it was last year. Then you want to call why myself and many others that dedicated lots of time and money for preliminaries to the AT. So I guess those that got knocked out the 1st weekend were really not in the AT they were just in the preliminaries. Hey if that is the case why dont you give them a full refund on the plex they paid to enter. After all they were not in the real AT. An my team well we made it to the Second weekend so I guess we flew in the real AT for 1 match. So much for the double elimination and all the other rules as well. You made those a joke too. Wait maybe that is why there was no punnishment for those that broke the rules the 1st weekend it was after all only the PRELIMINARIES not the real AT. So this leaves me to ask do you guys also condone FRAUD? After that is what I would call taking something of real world monitary value and then failing to provide agreed upon product. All of us that flew in the AT were defrauded the entire 1st weekend if they were only Preliminaries.

Wake up CCP pull your heads out of your 4th point of contact before your out of business because you failed to listen and do right by your customers.

To all those that Flew not only until the last weekend but in the 1st weekend as well good job, good fights. You represented your corps and alliances with honor even though CCP seems to want to deminish it.

An again thankyou to the ISD for doing what CCP should have been doing in the first place.
