White out in space

This seems to be happening only since I updated to Windows 10.

A ship can explode, not even in my camera focus and suddenly all of space goes brilliant bright white!
I have to zoom and spin around like a crazy person to get it back to calming dark void of space.

Is it a Jove trying to communicate with me by making me go blind with the brightness or is it something worse like a Nvidia driver issue?
Can't say I've noticed any issues with other games since update.

This has been happening to me occasionally since I started playing back in late April 2014. 3 different graphics cards in that time period (first was the original onboard, 2 upgrades since then both being AMD cards) On Windows 7.

Usually it's triggered by a ship exploding nearby, either half the screen will flash solid white (tends to be the right side) or it's the entire screen. Now I can still barely make out things like overview, drone window, so thinking it's something up with the 'background space' visual that glitches out. I used to zoom and swing the camera angle to try to clear it faster, didn't work. So it's sit and wait for the whiteout to end.

From some I've spoken to in chat tabs, this was going on before I showed up to drop property values in New Eden. An old bug never quite ironed out.

Info for any bug hunter interested in an oldie but not so goodie challenge.

AMD graphic cards.
Windows 7 Home Ultimate (64 bit of course)
DirectX 9 (since 11 is notorious for triggering odd glitches)
Single boxing.
Aero permanently disabled.
45mDL 5mUL ping under 20 for internet connection, hardwired not wi-fi. No other system or anything connected in any manner to the modem.
And the only thing usually running in the background (outside OS stuff I don't mess with) is iHeart Radio.

From your linked screenshot, that's exactly it! None of the ships, Overview, NeoCom, targeting, rats, etc. is effected, it's more like the background graphic 'sphere' whites out around everything else.

You're using an Nvidia, myself and others using AMD based cards. Hitting Windows 7 and 10 machines. I use the DirectX 9 setting, if others get this same visual bug in the DirectX 11 grouping and an 8.0-8.1 OS that's a hat trick. Wonder if any iOS system users are getting it too at this point? Or Linux?

Never happened to me before updating to Windows 10. It was DirectX 11 on Windows 8.1

Happening on my Laptop 880M Nvidia GPU. Intel CPU.

The picture is 100% the same thing I have. It does shock sometimes it's that bright!

ive had this for about 2 years.... but it maybe happens once per 2 weeks and ive not had a full whiteout for awhile
but for me it started with half the background space whiting out and the other half space (vertical split)
then i had the full whiteouts for alittle while
now im back to the half screen its ususally fixed 'on the fly' by moving my camera around abit.

just thought as nobody mentioned the half screen issues that im having and nobody else seems to get
might be a clue to the cause of the issue.

Same thing has been happening since yesterday's patch. I have never had this happen before. Does anyone know if there are graphics settings in the eve client that can reduce/stop this?

This is the first technical issue I have run into with the eve client.

I am also getting the White out in space since yesterdays patch. It never happened before yesterdays patch.

2 outta 7 NPC's killed at a Large FW outpost caused it.

Really? Have you guys even seen the numerous bug reports that have been sent on this issue over the years? If not, there there is a disconnect between bug reports and the developers, or we are just getting ignored. So the way to get stuff like this fixed is to complain on the forums. Good to know.
