Do some WHs just suck?

So I just scanned out a c3 Black Hole, it had 6 sigs; 4 WHs and 2 Gas, and 3 anoms, 1 each of data, relic and gas. Is this just a bad wormhole? Is it likely to stay this bad? Or is it because people haven't been living there running sites, and if you run more sites it gets more active sig-wise? I suppose the opposite is possible too? Someones been running all the sites, but there was only 1 online POS and it doesn't look like that small corp has been active in WH space in a long time, and no GSCs or anything on scan to suggest a solo hermit.

I'm sorry this is probably a very noob question, but I am what I am, thanks for any info!

Cheers

If nobody is living there somebody else was running just a few days (1-5) earlier all the sites.

If this wormhole was inactive the last weeks/months it would be full of anomalies and signatures.

It sounds to me like an somewhat active WH. You'll know an inactive WH when you see one. I once found C2/C5/Null sec WH with 22 Sigs, 6 og them WH's and 10 Relic sites along with 15+ anoms.

The one you described sounded like a shity day in terms of signatures and the lack of anoms suggest they had been recently run.

black hole in itself is a pretty undesirable effect unless you literally only fly missile ships

Thanks for the replies guys, gonna leave an alt in there for a couple of days to watch for traffic...but yeah, BH isn't so desirable anyway Roll

Some WH dwellers are smarter or more active than others. Not many sites/sigs and a few open wh connections could indicate people ran sites a few days ago and are letting the active whs despawn thru time.

You always have the option to close any wormhole connecting to your system, unless it's a lame frig only. Some whs are easier to close than others. Some need 3-5 crashing battleships/orcas thru, but some others need up to 50 jumps thru with a retriever or other ship with 20mil mass.
