Suggestions for 2 year old battleship pilot's first alt role? And SP?

Hello. Two years in, true to the high sec carebear stereotype, my EVE experience thus far has been specifically skilling up battleship/gunnery skills to V and running L4 missions in high sec. ALL of my SP is focused on racial battleships, drones, and large hybrid/laser gunnery skills (besides core skills). As such, I made my first alt account yesterday with the idea of using it to make my main's life a little easier as a dedicated Noctis pilot.

I figure with an alt I can halve my mission running time, but someone pointed out yesterday that marauders + MTUs are specifically intended to avoid needing a Noctis.

Any suggestions for a good role for a low SP alt? Industry doesn't interest me as I'm too far behind to ever hope to compete with 50 million SP+ industrialists, mining is fail, PI doesn't sound interesting, and Trading sounds too complicated. Logi is useless for high sec NPC Corp mission runners, and the only remaining profession I can think of is Freight/Hauling (besides Noctis). Light income desired.

If anyone has any insights to share, I'd really appreciate it! This is my first alt. Please no null/low sec suggestions please, as I love CAS, and anyone who has looked at my combat history knows I'm a lover not a fighter and have been mercilessly murdered by the inhabitants of low/null every time I tried to venture out in the past.

Make a frigate PVP pilot and join RVB. You will not regret it.

RvB is a PvP oriented part of EVE. Red vs Blue.
You can join either side, learn from them , and not risk very much ISK in the process.
I have never joined, but I hear nothing but good news about the whole experience. Much better than faction wars.

As for alts:
Train somewhat opposite of your main character. So you can have 2 good pilots that do 2 different things. It will let you experience a lot more of EVE in half the time.

Gun specialist- Missile specialist
Armor-Shield
Battle ships and up-Battlecruisers and down
Cap pilot-Cyno alt
PvE pilot-PvP pilot
etc.
etc.

You get the idea. It's even common to have the alt be un-attached to the main. So you could have two different EVE lives.
Make enemies with one, fly under the radar with the other. Wars with one, Missions with the other. That kind of thing.

One option is to train leadership skills and use the ALT as a booster - basic skills take roughly a week each to train and give you a 10% boost to armor, shield, agility, targeting range and speed. ALT needs to be in fleet in same system but not necessarily on grid.

You can also run missions faster with 2 DPS ships - perhaps a battlecruiser which can fit a MJD, a warfare link for better boosts, medium weapons and more drones to deal with smaller rats. Ships can also remote repair each other.
