Stupidest thing I've seen (on work safety film) is standing on top of 2,5m aluminium ladders in pool filled with water while drilling the ceiling with a drill that was fed by an extension cord that dangled over the pool from the cord (the drill had a short cable ...) that guy was supposed to be an electrician but I suppose they don't need to know anything about water and electricity in turkey to be qualified for the job, only thing the guy had right was removing shoes and socks so they don't get wet ... Roll

Naturally extension cord wasn't water proof it was the regular 10-socket model; oh yeah the pool emptied in a flash btw.

I asked later if the picture was staged and they said it wasn't the guy really did it.

I believe it. People have done much dumber things.

This is not job related kinda:

My father was well known by my family for being a cheap skate who tried to fix stuff that he had no knowledge off,
one day he decided that my house needed rewiring so he buys all the wiring and outlets, etc etc and proceeds to enslave me Evil (was 15 at the time) and starts his electrical project with my help.

long story short when we were done he proceds to conect all the wiring to the electrical box and feeds 240 volts trough the 110 volt system and fries all the electrical equipment, fridge, estereos, etc etc and the wires melted inside the conduits, did I mention my dad didnt beleive in surge protectors? Shocked

his little cheap habit cost him close to 10k back in 1988 Lol, mom was happy because she got a new fridge microwave and other nick nacks like a VCR and TVs

besides the added expense of conduits and rewiring the whole house by a electrician Lol

Gotta find a master electrician-turned-crackhead.

Half the price, all of the quality. Just have to get them when they are sober.
