Guides to mission running?

Been playing on and off for years now, though the last time I logged on was before T3 cruisers. Anyways for the most part I've been doing mostly highsec mining and corp stuff but now mining is a bit boring and no corp so, I decided I wanted to try my hand at security missions.

I have decent skills, frigate/cruiser/battleship for caldari, and minmatar are at level 5, gallente is at level 4. Got 7 gunner skills all at level 5 and mostly focused on projectiles. Good missile skills mostly at level 4-5. Tank/secondary skills are anywhere from levels 2-4.(working on these now to get tier 2) they are all for shield tanking though. Drone skills are decent.

So I was wondering if there are any guides or videos on the actual gameplay parts of security missions. Or perhaps just some advice. I know the basics from my own experience, like aggro management, the theory behind kiting, optimal ranges, fall off, transversal, and things like that. But knowing and doing are two different things.

I could also use some fitting advice, I decided on a stratios since I could run missions, and set up for exploration as well, and for the moment I don't intend to leave highsec(don't have the isk income/experience to do PvP) so getting ganked is still a concern, but not top priority. I'll have amarr cruiser to 4 by late Tuesday or early Wednesday.(not really an issue since I can't armor tank anyways.) I can also fit a covert ops cloak. So any advice on that would be appreciated as well ^.^

On YouTube, search for any mission name. E. g.: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hr_UWRZkWMs

Cool thanks, does it matter where I start missioning? Anywhere I should start?

No. You may want to use https://www.fuzzwork.co.uk/lpstore/ to find a good corporation.

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

Welcome back to Eve.

I suggest you first start off with a level 2 Agent and run a few missions just to get acquainted, then move up to level 3 missions and do the same thing, etc.

I usually just fly a Deadspace/Faction fit Loki (T3 Cruiser) for doing exploration as well as running Event Agent missions (Cosmos, Epic Arcs, etc). The reason for using a T3 Cruiser is due to traveling around a lot, the sub-systems make it very versatile and the ship itself can enter most exploration sites, not to mention it has no problem completing expeditions.

For exploration sites that the Loki can't enter, I have various ships (Frigates, Cruisers, etc) stationed in different systems throughout the Eve Universe.

Anyway, I hope you have a long and rewarding career here in Eve this time around.

Thanks :D I thought I needed to start at level 1, and go from there after I've gotten enough standing with an agent?

Was thinking about getting a T3, but honestly even compared to the stratios I just bought its ridiculously expensive both isk and skill wise. But Ill probably upgrade up to it after I've gotten enough experience and a good isk income, either the tengu or proteus I imagine. What other ships do you use for exploration sites? Any favorites in the caldari/minmatar factions?

Use the agent finder to find agents from a specific faction or corp and see what lvl agents are available

It's based off of faction OR corp standings.

I use a Svipul or Confessor for L3s and below. Both are also excellent for hisec exploration.
