Backstory on some NPC characters

So my buddy is doing a L4 mission as is his want and he joyfully exclaims a good hit against an NPC I had never heard of. So I did some digging and though I had only ever done the Caldari versions of the missions myself I had never known there was faction variants till now. Im most interested in Draben Kuvakei's story, but any information in the backstory of any of the commanders in the L4 mission Vengeance would be cool too. Is he related to Sansha Kuvakei? Or like one website that I googled figured that it was just a common surname in Caldari space.

Is there any official backstory to these commanders anywhere at all?

Afraid that most 'named NPC's' in missions don't have any deeper background. A few do have attachments to other lore parts, but they are rare.

Example of this would be Kruul & Zor, who actually have recognition in other missions too (mainly Zor in this regard) Most know them from the Damsel in Distress mission. Their lore part is that they're part of a famous criminal gang that does appear in several missions. You can find more about them here: The Seven

I'm not aware of other Mission important NPC that have a deeper lore attached to them beyond their own faction.

Edit: In regard to the surname 'Kuvakei' yes it's a common name in the Caldari State & it's a name you'll see pop up from time to time in lore without any connection to Sansha Kuvakei. that said, there's a few lore important NPC's that carry the Kuvakei surname & are related to him as well!
In Draben Kuvakei's case, there's no information at all about it, so whether he's related to Sansha Kuvakei or not remains a mystery.
