Is it true MDs will be changed to support anchoring? Can't remember where I saw that rumour but I hope it's true. If not, why not?

If EVE is a PvP game, then Anti-Ganking is emergent gameplay.

What exactly does it mean to "support anchoring"?

As in you can anchor certain structures near it like you would with a control tower.

As far as I know they aren't yet involved in the structure revamp currently being developed.

As far as I understand they will be part of the structure revamp. Actually I think they are already in a place they should be under the new structure model. But I too don't understand what you mean by anchoring. Arn't they anchored automatically when you launch them?

I was led to believe you could anchor other structures next to them like you would with a control tower (or would soon be able to).

@Yourmoney Mywallet: you could do all kinds of things with anchored structures near a MD. You could spit out a reactor and silo next to it and voila, mobile ore processing. Set up laser turrets to keep away rats. MDs are already pretty useful on their own, but there's no reason why that functionality can't be extended.

There are no announced plans for mobile structures.

However, there are many announced plans for new structures.

The only thing I can think of that might be worth doing with a mechanic like that is using them to moor (anchor) ships.
