Nulli Secunda vs That Escalated Quickly - Flagship Modules

Hey guys

It's come to our attention that the Flagship for That Escalated Quickly was allowed into the match with illegal meta modules fitted. This was the result of the exceptions for flagships being applied incorrectly by the match referee.

As the match resulted in a loss for That Escalated Quickly and the destruction of the flagship, only a warning will be issued to the That Escalated Quickly team.

All module restrictions still apply to flagships and all other ships. Please do not attempt to bypass the module restrictions.

so, wait, this is the 2nd time this has happened, (last year as well) and all their getting a warning?

can someone on the ship scanning team get their butt spanked?Lol

IMPORTANT EDIT: when i said this is the 2nd time this has happened, i DID NOT MEAN THAT ESCALATED QUICKLY

i meant that this is the 2nd time that a banned module has slipped past ccp

Why are you only letting them out with a warning. As mentioned before this was the second year that they did this.

I want to make this clear; I'm not super angry because we won the match. However this could have definitely swung the match against a different team/setup. Please be sure to require any referee's memorize the fitting restrictions before placing them in that role.

Well thankfully kids, we all know: In Real Life cheaters never win.

As long as that rule never fails, no reasons to check fits or ban.

1. We had no reason to cheat. Why on earth would we? Seriously?
2. CCP had our fit - apparantly approved it (in our minds) since we where not told it was illegal.
3. This is our first ever alliance tournament, so anyone saying we did this a 2nd time are idiots.
4. They also had us sitting 40 minutes looking at each other before the match started because :CCP: - so i think its only fair that we get a warning as we did by no means try to cheat on purpose.

They shouldn't allow them to continue. The rules were posted and the rules were not followed this is not the first year they have done this.

Rules were posted before teams where pick. Its YOUR fault you chose to ignore them and CCPS fault for trusting people to follow them with out checking. SO yeas i do think you should be dropped. the WE DIDNT KNOW! defense is dumb.

This is the first year we've entered the tournament.

We apologise for the use of the module, it was never our intention to cheat.

We did not ignore anything, if anything we misunderstood the rules - which should then have been picked up on by CCP when they ask for the Flagship fits a week in advance (you would expect that to be the reason - them being checked)

Exactly. I don't blame the opposing team in the slightest. The blame lies with CCP. GF guys and this issue has definitely escalated quickly. :)
