God... I thought for certain that you had him. If you hadnt burnt out... and maybe a bit more range control... that one was CLOSE.


Yeah, I should have taken the time to properly try to exploit the Ferox's optimal bonus. My main worry at the start was his active tank. I was worried he was dual-rep, which would be a perfect counter to me. The only way I could manage range was to use the MJD, and my projection at 105 km is only 260 dps, which probably would not have cracked his active tank.

As he dropped into structure just outside of scram range I got greedy. :/

I was thinking about my midslots too much, and I think I did an okay job there, but forgetting the most important part.

Next time I just need to stick to my guns. :D

As a side match I challenge Bronson to an all t1 (no faction) cruiser dual. T1 fits drones etc. May the luckiest pilot with more skill then he admits too and twice as much luck too boot win.

Good fight! Sorry for bringing a rather boring strategy, but I promise to make up for it in the BC fight Big smile

EDIT: Also yeah, Valkin shouldn't be disqualified for warping out since he fixed the issue and came back. All in all its a good reflex (spamming the warp button) to have in almost all of eve pvp.

From what I've seen from thunderdome matches so far. Not being confined to point ranges really opens the door for the faster kitting ships into supremacy. Points put a very neat limit on PvP that all thought I recognized never really fully saw how they truly affect more traditional pvp

I've started thinking of Thunderdome matches as regular fights where each pilot has an invisible long-point nano-ceptor as a wingman.

Yeah, it is definitely a knee-jerk reaction to get out. But you came back and took the loss, so the spirit of intent is there.

As per my posts in another thread I am announcing my intention to enter the thunderdome. In all honesty it won't be the next series, it'll be the one that follows, I'm a complete novice at this kind of thing and need to get some practice at dying in amusing ways because of it.

This gives me some time to learn a new aspect of the game and you the opportunity of much amusement at my expense Lol

Let the merriment commence.
