As headline - My PC laggs, even at minimum settings - this occors everytime the processor has to work with more complicated tasks, and when ever a "new entity" appears on the screen - this, basicly, means, that I can't do, any, PVP, as my my screen locks, along with the game, for several seconds, depending on the stress of my computer.

My specs are:

Packard Bell I-core 5 2x2.35Ghz, 6 GB RAM, NVIDIA G-force 520M and an old harddisk.

If you need moar data than this, please lemme know.

PS. At next given oppertunity, I'll try and upgrade my HDD to a flash-drive, and hope this'll solve it, BUT if you have any ideas on what I might do at this time, drivers or software/settings-wise, I'd be really happy.

With kind regards

D.

Just realized, that my GFX is unable to be found by the EVE-Client - I run a Geforce 520M, but all it can find is "Intel HD Graphics family" Card 1 and 2 - no Geforce to be found.

Hope this helps.

I am having the same problem. Only difference is that my GPU is being seen by the client.

So annoying when trying to PvP.

I am still having this fault.

Client freezes and driver crashes on TQ.

Plays fine on SISI.

well

hit windows+r , run devmgmt.msc

in the console that opens, go to "Display adapter", you will see your intel, do you see the nvidia one?
if yes, does it have a yellow "?" on it ?
if you don't see the nvidia not is there an "unknown device" at the top of the tree?

if you see it with yellow? or don"t see it at all, try downloading latest nvidia mobile drivers (if you installe non mobile it may not work)

http://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/92214 try this, or on this page try the autodetect
when you install the driver, chose advanced option then there is a small check box that "reset all setting" or "do a clean install"

I have no idea how the bios of your laptop is working but you may want to go in there, and check if there is not an option on integrated or pci devices that is "disabled" (like your video card)

I hope the driver reinstall works

if it doesn"t work, it has nothing to do with eve or DirectX : it purely hardware, the card may have broke down (heat/dust) and the laptop is simply bypassing it.

Thank you very much for the reply.

I have tried all of the solutions above.

I just don't get why it runs fine on sisi?

ah, erm, what I said was mainly for OP to understand why is GC is not seen at all

for you it's a crash of the client, nothing to do with dante's problem.

you can try by simply deleting your setting as they must be somewhat different from sisi install.
or just before doing that on TQ, try running "RESCACHE.EXE" from the TQ Binaries, it will check corruption (data from TQ and SISI are different, so one may be dead)

then if that does not work, then be sure what directX version is setup in the launcher and clean up your settings

the file is in the folder settings in your appdata folder, it's called core_public__.yaml . locate it, and I guess you can delete it (open it with notepad, it should be your settings almost human readable)

in the parent folder, there is one called "cache", simply delete it.
then retry

but to everyone in this post having character select issue, it is ANOTHER problem that needs you to open a ticket (lots of post around here for this issue, started last week and still going on)
