Frozen at EVE Launcher Update

Patch notes for Aegis Sovereignty 1.6
Released on Tuesday, July 28, 2015
Anyone else encounter this today after the latest patch?
Stuck with a greyed out "Play" button and status of "Downloading EVE Launcher update".

Update: Was able to get the launcher update working again (fingers crossed, 400MB/1.32GB) by clearing all cached data and then toggling, saving and re-toggling the option to download all resource files.

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

YESSIR! I am having the same problem. Going to try and restart the computer. Have you found any solution?

Yeah, see above (cleared all the cached data, disabled the download resource cache option, saved then re-enabled). Did the trick for me.

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

Any chance you could tell me how to disable download resource cache? Or rather explain what I am missing >< google has failed me.

EDIT: Upper right hand corner little spin wheel, click that ->advanced clear cache. -> game clear cache. ->reset launcher settings.

Worked for me!

And I see we're back to playing games with the Macintosh launcher today... There wasn't any patch listed, but it's once again stuck at the "Downloading EVE Launcher udate" message... The previous workaround no longer seems to do the trick, so I'm EVE-less.

Update: And it's working again (restarted my Mac but I'm honestly not sure why that did the trick).

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

I'm in the same boat as you, except I still can't get the thing to work. I've don'e the mentioned bits above (including restarting) but am still stuck at Downloading EVE Launcher. Oops

Check to see if you have your Firewall enabled. I also disabled this on mine and then restarted my Mac.

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

probably need to uninstall launcher and load it again ccp have made a right balls up of this

That's probably not a bad idea to have another copy of the EVE client handy to reinstall.

And we're back to this again... This has to be an issue with the launcher, because every time there seems to be an update this thing hangs at "Downloading EVE Launcher update" with a greyed out "Play" button.

• Disabled/re-enabled network connection ✔
• Toggled firewall on/off ✔
• Shutdown and restarted iMac ✔
• Cleared all launcher cached data ✔
• Disabled/re-enabled both Delete patches after use and Download all the resource files ✔
• Restarted launcher several times (5th times the charm?) ✔

I was finally able to get the launcher to accept and download a patch through some combination of the above. I honestly have no idea what the "magic bullet" is at this point, or if simply restarting the launcher over and over will resolve the issue. I will note that upon launching EVE and checking the settings the Download all the resource files option was unchecked despite being saved as enabled in previous sessions. I can't help but wonder if this isn't related.

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.
