You should also change your underwear, you've been spending too much time on those red light sites.

I didn't know about it using IE. As I have an aversion to its use, I'll be using the exe from now on.
Thanks for the info.

This is not accurate. The launcher uses the Chromium Embedded Framework library to render and display web content.

That said, malware which intercepts or redirects web content may impact the launcher, so if you see symptoms like this, it's worthwhile taking comprehensive measures to eliminate any malware which might be on your machine.
Well I've never had the issues the OP has, but I do dislike IE with a passion.

I'm glad it's not IE, but it still really does need some work.

Do you remember the early days, before the full screen launching. When the login screen was much the same size as the launcher now? I don't recall having any issues with that, so why not go back to that design and do away with the whole web framework?

Windows is essentially IE. Though technically IE is just a browser, the core of Windows contains most of that, blurring the line between OS and browser.

Example: Every file folder window is basically the same under the hood as IE with URL file:/// though they present the results differently.

Hence EVE client is still affected by IE proxy setting: it isn't really the IE proxy setting but rather the Windows networking proxy setting. IE is just one of several ways to access it.

EVE is becoming shallow and puerile; it will satisfy neither the veteran nor the "WoW" type crowd in the transition.
