Coward (not to preach to the choir) is an odd word anyway. I will gladly admit I am a coward. If someone came and presented me with a plausible threat of mayhem IRL I would hide under the bed until they went away. That is part of why I enjoy a videogame about shooting spaceships with no real-life consequences, just as I suppose many of us enjoy first-person shooters because the bullet wounds don't actually hurt.

And as regards griefing; I know there are players who revel in the furious outbursts, but as far as I can see they can only do it because the furious outbursts exist. If someone threatens me with mayhem when I know perfectly well they are on the other side of the world, well, I reserve the right to raise an arch eyebrow too.

The why do you have the right to FORCE people to PvP in empire when they don't want to? You don't want to be forced to go to null/low/wh's

Your hypocrisy is a joke, you don't want to be forced To pvp in low/null/wh's but think you have a right to force other people to play the game how you want to?


In Eve I always have the right to force PVP on you. Always. You have the right to defend yourself should you chose to do so. Also depending on where I force PVP on you there may be consequences for me (sec loss, concord, getting kicked for shooting blues etc), but if I am willing to accept those consequences, I am always allowed to force PVP on you.

That's Eve, that's always been Eve, that will be Eve until the day it dies. (the day they change that will be the same it Eve dies, even if it takes a while to bleed out)

That being said, that's as far as the forcing goes, I can't force anyone to do anything except react to their environment (or die for failing to do so).

Sadly, one thing CODE preaches around is true: You want content, create it.

The hisec became a gankfest for griefplay and borderline harassment because we made it that way.
