Black Screen after undocking

Yesterday I undocked (after flying around for a couple hours) and the entire screen went black for about 30 seconds. The regular skybox/hud/etc eventually reappeared, but afterwards I was unable to interact with anything apart from chat windows. Mouselook and contextual menus were broken, etc. I had to kill process as I was unable to dock.

The first thing I did was tab out to pingplotter (which runs in background) and connection was fine.

I've spoken to a couple other people who've had this same problem, but haven't seen a forum topic yet.

I cleared my cache, and haven't seen the problem again, but not sure that means much.

Only one EVE client was running
Nothing major running in background
Win7
Preload EVE resources
DX9 rendering
GTX980 (353.06 WHQL)

[EDIT: I monitor temps with Afterburner and Realtemp, both were normal: GPU ~45c, CPU ~40c)
