Storing Blueprints Away From POS?

So i have some very valuable blueprints that i use to make stuff in my POS. I have been storing them inside my POS but i read somewhere that it is actually possible to store them at a station and still be able to manufacture things.

My POS is in a 0.4 sec system and my corp office is in a high sec system that is 2 jumps away from my POS. Would it be possible to store my BPOs in my corporate hangar and still be able to manufacture things and research? If so what skill(s) would i need in order to effectively do this? How would i go about setting this up?

You used to be able to store them remotely, not anymore. When it was possible it had to be in the same system.

For what it is worth, I only keep in-use BPO at the POS.

I'm not going to leave them unnecessarily vulnerable, floating in space!

Of course, I don't share my BPO collection.

Why don't you keep your BPO at the station where they are safe and make copy's for building stuff at your POS?

This is what everyone does with Capital Component BPOs/ Capital BPOs. Though for pretty much everything else, I keep them at a high-sec POS. When you are War-Deced, worst case, you have 2 days to get them out, best case, you have 4/5 days (24 Hour War-Dec notification + max stront into moonpeople timezone).

This is all about to change again. You'll be able to store them in the new structures, and if the structure is destroyed, they'll somehow be whisked away safely to a station.
