So a question....

I am now in null and I am having trouble breaking the tank on the battle ship rats

I moved to null from low sec, I used a Fleet Cane and had no issue dealing with the BS rats while in low sec
However now I am in null and it takes forever to down a battle ship rat. I can do it, but it takes forever

I can not yet fly a nidhoggur, so what would be the next best thing? I was thinking a typhoon seeing as the area is a ghost town and I hardly see neuts. I have seen only 2 the entire week I have been down here

Before you say get a get an ishtar or navy vexor, I can not fly Gallie and do not wish to train up for them.

So what would be a solid Minmatar ship for larger null rats IE the battleships

Fleet Cane should be fine. Let's see your fit, are you using the ammo appropriate to the rat?

High slots Med Artie T1 for now 650 souts (untill I get T2 artie in a week)

The micro jump drive lets you jump away form truble, the after burner lets you control range, you don't want to let npcs get close because you don't have much tank. The missiles and drones (warriors for angels) tkes care of small npcs. The above fit is for angel rats, it's easy to refit for any kind of rat.

For anoms, you want battleships or tech3 cruisers, though attack BCs like the Tornado can do them from range as well. This is the proper forum to learn about PVE https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=topics&f=248

We fight TEST a lot and they are good people. So check them out and check us out we are right next door.

As for the op I have the same issue with anoms I can do belt rats no problem. I haven't be able to find a ship I can afford to lose that can handle anoms. I did just train into an Ishtar but don't have a fit not is it something I can lose on a regular bases.
So I will try that fit above. Any other tips would be helpful.

Are you matching resists and damage type to the region you're ratting in? For example, if you're using EMP in Guristas space, you'll struggle.

You can if you use the right drones. BS takes some time with no damage mods but a skiff can use mediums so it should speed it up.

I think it really depends. The problem isn't really speeding it up it's the fact that it might be hard for an exhumer to have enough DPS to break the tank of the battleships that have reppers on them, especially with no trait bonuses on the exhumer and no damage mods.

I don't do much mining or belt ratting for that matter so I'm not sure how much DPS would actually be needed to break the tank of these rats but with 5 medium drones out an exhumer will only have about 200 DPS or so (with max skills) and this seems relatively low for killing a BS.

**I may be off base here though I'm not sure how much less tank the belt rats have compared to rats in combat sites.

Edit: I just noticed you said the word "characters", what I said above is based on if you were alone. With multiple Skiffs with medium drones out there shouldn't be a problem at all.
