Rookie ship opt out option.

Having access to rookieships for free is nice for the new guy.
But really when you dock or relog with a pod to an empty station, having to trash that ship every time becomes a chore.
I'd really like to see a opt-out box for established players that find their assets swamped by rookie ships a bother.

What if I forget ive opted out and dock at a station? Do I then have to undock, opt in, and then dock again?

The best idea ive seen is still to have a station button that gives you a rookie ship.

Sure that works too.
As long as we can choose if we need it or not.

It only takes a second to right click and trash it. If you forget - you can trash it remotely using your personal assets.

Or you can right click and sell it - amazing how much some people will pay for a free ship.

I know what I CAN do.
I've done it plenty of times. X
I'm asking about not having to use that second even if you insist that it ONLY takes a second.
It will only take the devs "a second" to add a function that lets people not deal with it too.

-1 because of insisting the program will only take a short amount of time.

because much in the way of opting out of a free ship given to you, a character switch button that players want so badly to save time switching characters instead of reopening the game should only take a small amount of work to be like other MMOs was quoted "it would take a team of a handful of devs 6 months for a 15 second advantage"

Yeah cause the conditional loop that fills the hangar with a new rookie ship can't be edited to something like.

IF (POD_CONDITION and NOT_OPT_OUT)

Please just go somewhere else with your anger.
That is why you are here if you just start to hammer on that. What?

Except noobship are here since the game beginning. Which smells a looot like the dreaded "legacy" code. Which is the reason why we can't switch character without loggin out and in.

Does code smell?
WOW...
Legacy code or not, it is still just text with structure.
I'll let the devs speak on such issues rather than random members with vague rumors.

Pweese, noooes!!!

My professors would strangle me if I would even think about putting this on paper. An 'if' condition is to met or true and for any other case not true.

if( condition true)
do something;
else do_something_else;
return something_or_nothing;

Moving on, no.

Wow did you just attack the merit of my pseudo code?
It's purpose was after all to convey an idea.
Maybe you didn't understand the idea?

I hope your rant helped you IRL or something.
