Personally, I think it has to do with the kind of person who would define themselves purely in opposition to something, rather than stake out any merit on their own right.

Same reason that most of these same people are so doggedly "Grr Goons", but they have no actual positions beyond that. They define themselves purely in their dislike of something.

Godwins law and then slipping in 3 insult posts, you throw in comments where you try to show you are educated, I think you are projecting yourself onto me, poor lamb.

See, here's the thing. You twisted an example I made out of context so you could invoke Godwin's Law, which didn't apply at all (look it up, fruitcake), and then accused everyone else of twisting what you say out of context.... see the irony here? I know it's hard but for one second, just try to exercise a brain cell or two and I will try to keep this simple - Godwin's Law does not apply to appropriate references to Hitler or Nazis. For example, if I say Hitler was right about a lot of things, it's as true as if I'd said George Bush was right about a lot of things, or if I'd said the Pope is right about a lot of things. You really need to study up on your fallacies, draccy boy, if you wanna get them right, which you absolutely have not done.

Just because someone says "Hitler" or "Nazi" does not mean you get to invoke Godwin's Law and pretend you've won. All you've done is knock over all the chess pieces and poop on the board, then pat yourself on the back and claim victory. I have literally argued with creationists and scientologists that have more logical finesse than you, and that's really bad dude.

So I'm going to explain it to you - Godwin's Law only applies when someone is analogised to Hitler or the Nazis inappropriately. For example: vaccinating children is genocide by autism and that makes you as bad as Hitler. My example, however, was not an analogy, it was a point in and of itself, that no matter how evil or whatever you perceive a source of information to be, what matters is the content of that information. That seems to be the point you've attempted to dodge by trying to invoke Godwin's Law. So how about you address that, because you haven't yet, you've just been making lots of excuses for ignoring the evidence of misbehaviour in AG circles and spruiking absolute nonsense that you've provided no evidence for yourself.

So now it's time to **** or get off the pot, mate. Or keep dodging and go full ******, you're choice.

EDIT: if your excuse for ignoring the content is you feel insulted, I will suggest never ever attempting to access a real academic arena. My last draft thesis received the notation from one professor: "are you an actual idiot or was your keyboard broken when you wrote this? Even ONE typo will get you an F mate, get your **** together"

Except for the fact that CODE. don't generally petition people for swearing at them, they petition people that make threats against their real life persons, their pets and their families.

Telling them to die in a fire (ingame) is fine, telling them that you're going to hunt them down in real life, disembowel their parents, have forced intercourse with their children and set fire to their pets and home is not.

When a significant proportion of the people that they interact with spew forth vitriol, misogyny, homophobia, racism and other forms of hatred they kind of have a point.
