Bullet points are easy to the power of p'easy.

Who we are:
- Well, Reasonable People. Corp name says most of it all, really. We're also Of Sound Mind, but that's secondary.
- Our main corp-level activities are small gang PvP roams and random types of defense fleets. Some people PvE randomly in our home system, but the main corp organized activities are PvP-based.
- Pretty patient. We've been recruiting low-SP and helping them grow for a very long time now. We prefer to get pilots in who are newer to the game so we can totally brainwash you complet... err, help you learn!
- Usually mature, usually intelligent people. Usually
- NRDS but we've got more reds than Soviet Russia. We like playing Space Policia in Providence. "salir de la nave espacial seƱor!"
- Established. Unlike most corps that focus on recruiting new players, we've been around since October 2009. Compare that to most corps that are recruiting newer players (Hint: Most of them are scamming you, yo)
- Self-sufficient. We run our own PvP roams as a corp, we have our own FC structure, we do what we want.
- US TZ. Looking for an EU TZ corp that's like ours? Check out Inner Visions, our sister EU corp at their recruitment thread here: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=695759 - they're like the same as us, except they eat strange food and sleep at different times. Eur-bros!

What we hope you are:
- You are a main, not an alt. You have more than 1.6 million skillpoints but less than 15 million, and have done the Sisters of Eve Epic Arc. Over 15 million skillpoints? Well if you're still over 15 mil and looking for a corp, you've either done everything a couple times already or you're a bitter old vet who somehow already hasn't found anyone that will put up with you. Judgments ho!
- Reasonable individual. You don't throw emotional fits, you don't yell, you don't act like an idiot more than 1% of the time.
- You're not adverse to LE PEW, and like the overall sandbox nature of the game. You'll PvP, you'll run a sig, you'll do some industry to make isk, you're not a goof.
- You're willing to share your limited API key, so we can spy on you and stuff.
- Okay with a 9.5% corp tax, it helps pay for things like our endless supply of pastries. Mm, pie.
- You're down with relocation to our corporation bases of operations. Yes, the main place we hang out is in 0.0. It's not terribly scary.
- Ready to learn the game, or at least, ready to learn how to be very slightly better at the game.
- Somewhat patient, at the very least, literate. You can manage reading text without falling asleep and having your eyes glaze over. Like this post. Certainly like this post.
- Meet the basic requirements of being a decent human being. You're not a homosexual hating goof. You're not a misogynist, stalking females or devaluing them verbally like a mongoloid. You've figured out that the word "jew" is a noun, not a verb or adjective. You know, basic crap that so, so many fail at.
- You can spell reasonably well. And uh, you're not dumb. There, we said it. We were kind of avoiding just saying it, but sometimes it's just better to be up-front. We like people of at least average intelligence. So sue us.
- A person who wants to have their corp be a helpful community, and not a random assemblage of guys who kind of know who each other are and sometimes are asked to go blow up other random assemblages of guys who kind of know who each other are.

Benefits?
- We don't bribe people to join the corp with lame things like "signing bonuses" or the like. Most corps that do that are just recruiting everything and anything. Boo to that.
- Right now we're sitting on fat stacks of reimbursement isk, so we've been replacing everything lost during corp roams at hull value since late 2011.
- We have a myriad of tools to help you make isk, especially via industrialist activities... invention, research and building.
- Access to our own tiny patch of 0.0 for other isk-making abilities.
- Custom API tool that helps you focus your skill training so that you're not a mishmash of bad SP.
- Standardized PvP fits that can be flown by low to high SP, we won't let you embarass yourself with ****-fits.
- Fly with usually chill people and shoot usually unchill people. Usually.
- You don't get brutalized or laughed at for asking questions about how to play the game.

We're also open to:
- Corp mergers: If you're running a little 1-6 man corp and things are frustrating, and you want to be a part of something a bit larger while still working closely with your friends/corpmates, hit us up.

Additional research:
- Our Killboard: http://sound.mindflood.org/?a=home (blue and pink = manly color scheme!)
- Old Recruitment thread #1: http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1250847
- Old Recruitment thread #2: http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1492791
- Dotlan: http://evemaps.dotlan.net/corp/Reasonable_People - the numbers go up and down because we're mean and boot inactives

Anyways, if any of the above sounds good to you and you meet most of the things in the "What we hope you are" section, then perhaps you should hit us up for a conversation. Join our public chat channel "[SOUND]" by clicking on the little text bubble icon called "open channel window" that sits to the top right of your chat window. Then put in [SOUND] (yes, you need the bracket thingies) and hit "join." There's much more information in that channel as well.

Best no-nut having banana bread recipe that I could find (of the day) http://simplyrecipes.com/recipes/banana_bread/

Looking for players who know nuts taste bad in any kind of bread or who are 1-10 mil SP EU/US timezone players. Hit us up in RITES channel if you're interested or at the very least consider some chocolate chip muffins if you don't like the banana bread.

Did you know: The very first bomb dropped by the Allies on Berlin during World War II killed the only elephant in the Berlin Zoo

Yeah, but he was a dirty nazi, like most elephants, so I'm not sure if that's a tragedy. Recruiting everyone but pachyderms in RITES chat today.

*CCP censors that word. How... strange.

Cat litter of the day http://www.freshstep.com/prodcrystals.php

Looking for pilots in this game is like cleaning a fresh steps crystals litterbox, first you scoop out all the poop (poop in this case being pilots who are not 1-10 mil sp or active in either US/EU timezones), then you stir up and freshen the box till it's crystal fresh again. Please take advantage of advanced odor locking technology when hanging our in our RITES channel because we don't like people stinking up the place.

Best stepping game emulator of the day: http://www.stepmania.com/wiki/Downloads

Looking for pilots who know that the butterfly twirl is just wasted movement and that 1.5x speed is less impressive than normal speed. Also it'd be nice if you were also a 1-10 mil SP EU/US timezone players looking to learn what the world of Eve has to offer.

Did you know: You're more likely to be a target for mosquitoes if you consume bananas

Which is funny, because you're less likely to be a target for women if you consume bananas. And probably less likely to want to target women as well, come to think of it. Come join RITES chat today, while we don't discriminate against people who consume bananas, we do not promise an absence of mockery either.

This was an accidental bump originally. I was trying to edit a bump post, but accidentally made a new post. Forum failure for the win.

So this will serve as a decent spot to put down a pointless and meaningless Corp History post! Yay for my boredom. Scroll this unless you have a penchant for reading mostly irrelevant information.

RITES corp history:

Corp was founded by three offline friends in October of 2009. We were frustrated by joining corps that would lie about their total member count (joined an eighty man corp prior that only had three active players... us). Then we started looking for corps that would promise us the world, but upon research, we would figure out that they had no FC's and their corp leadership was mostly AFK. So we started a corp intending it to just be a vanity corp and immediately jumped into a class 2 wormhole and ran it as a three man corp. While profitable, the isolation and claustrophobia was a bit much, so we decided to come back to empire to recruit. We were isk-rich as complete nubs to the game, but what is the point of isk without having others to share such resources with?

We decided to focus on recruiting other new players who didn't have "baggage" from a long history of playing. We immediately attracted war-dec attention, and went about learning how to FC and fight off the war-decs, rather than simply succumbing to them. At that point, we decided to join a Providence-friendly alliance. Other than renting, there is not much welcome to newer corps in 0.0, and we're opposed to paying for space. With that, we decided to give CVA-led Providence a try as a member of Apocalypse Now. Providence was invaded and wiped out by Against All Authorities shortly after we joined Apocalypse Now and we settled in to focus on fighting the installed pet alliances that took the place of CVA-bloc alliances.

While the members of APOC were for the most part, very nice people, we decided to part ways due to their leadership being mostly AFK from the game and a distinct lack of experienced (or any) FC's at the time. We then set out for the Great Wildlands, to evaluate the NRDS coalition that was there and to find an alliance to join. We were recruited by the diplomat of True Reign (who would later move on to be one of the main diplomats for TEST alliance) who were making a move on Scalding Pass at the time, fighting Atlas Alliance pets with some occasional cooperation from nearby Russian entities. Sov was taken in Scalding Pass, and then White Noise gave the alliance some additional sov in Wicked Creek. The start of our tenure in True Reign was great, morale was high and the PvP was pretty plentiful.

However, things quickly soured in True Reign when TEST alliance poached TRUE's diplomat, soon after, Red Alliance decided to try to boss the alliance around as if they were renters. The alliance itself fractured, half of the alliance wanting to abandon sov to Red Alliance and simply work alongside White Noise in Wicked Creek, the other half wanting to say "**** all Russians", drop all sov and wage a guerrilla campaign. Due to the option being left to the general population of the alliance and it being nearly completely evenly split, this led to hard feelings between the two factions. The option should never have been presented as an attempt at democracy, as democracy does not work in EVE. TRUE then mostly broke apart.

By the mid-point of our time in the alliance, we mostly decided to focus on running corp roams and working on our own FC'ing, as the attitudes in TRUE became poisonous against one another. We learned quite a bit from our tenure in TRUE though, as they had one decent small gang FC that we could poach ideas off of.

Shortly thereafter, we decided to move back into the Great Wildlands and joined Sanctuary Pact, which was mostly made up of ex-TRUE corps that wanted to abandon attempts at sov and focus more on building up the NRDS coalition in the Great Wildlands. We joined because we were promised some autonomy in running our own corp roams and because we respected the individual who started the alliance, he was a pretty nice guy. The idea was that we could be in the alliance and help with alliance goals, but we would not be given grief over being mostly seclusive in terms of doing our own independent roams. Things were great in the Wildlands until a schism was created amongst the leadership of Republic Alliance, who were the main force in the Great Wildlands NRDS coalition. With Republic Alliance shattered, the NRDS coalition there started breaking apart.

Around the same time, an idea was flouted to non-CVA NRDS entities to go to Delve to establish an NRDS coalition there. Initially, the idea had promise, but we were wary given the lack of a singular leader to drive the project forward. The alliance we were in had a thirst for sovereignty, however, and threw themselves whole-heartedly into the project. However, the lack of cohesion was evident from the outset, with various people trying to assert leadership. We gave up very early into the project, when there was an attempt to blue the reconstituted Atlas Alliance, who held Querious. If you find yourself in a situation where you may end up blue to any form of an Atlas Alliance, you're finding yourself in a bad situation. Worse, Querious was at the time our favorite place to do corp roams and being told not to shoot Atlas was the final straw for us in Sanctuary Pact.

Our corp membership was, by this point, exhausted with alliances. Being that we recruit low-SP, no alliances looked attractive. The ones we had joined all had serious leadership problems of differing shades or a lack of FC's, and the ones we looked at joining did not fit our internal culture. We hate dealing with disorganized, chaotic comms and we're allergic to the idea of being in yet another Russian, Goon or -A- pet entity. Each squats on far too much sov with far too large of blue-lists.

RITES corp history (cont'd)

By May of 2011, we had been around the map, failing to find a permanent alliance to call home. We decided to form a vanity alliance to house our corp and then return home to Providence. We moved close to Providence in June of 2011, looking to have a place to do small gang defensive PvP as a corp.

It is a credit to CVA and -7- that they will put up with entities outside of their alliances or "holder" alliances with only a sparse measure of diplomacy. While we join a rare "coalition" fleet from time to time, we mostly focus on doing our own PvP in Providence using the KOS checker. Being a tiny entity mostly outside of the regional time zone, we haven't really felt pushed around or denigrated by the larger alliances in the area to this point. Reds and pirates are plentiful, we have plenty of targets to shoot at. There are no multiple region bluelists that you find in other coalitions. This sort of lifestyle isn't for everyone, obviously, as many pilots in the game prefer having many regions around them blue'd for lack of danger while PvE'ing in 0.0, we prefer to have more targets rather than less.

While admittedly weak and mostly undisciplined as an overarching entity, the Providence coalition is for us, far more fun and inviting to deal with than the large blue lists you find with the Goon, Russian or -A- blocs. Any prospective recruit with a knowledge of how the game works knows that Providence is one of the poorer regions in EVE in terms of generating raw isk, but it is one of the more fun regions in the game for accessibility from high-security space and for small gang PvP. How long that will last before a larger entity comes and destroys the region, no one can know, but we intend to take advantage of it while it is still the last "unique" region in the game.

So far we have had the best time as a corp that we have ever had. From our return to Providence in June 2011 through June 2012, we racked up over 2,400 kills in Providence, with most of those coming in the first six months of 2012 as we built up our fleet capability. Then, we got sov in September 2012 and moved full-time into Providence. From September 2012 to February 2013, we've averaged over 1300 kills a month. The vast, vast majority of those kills came in corp-only fleets, with our own FC'ing. Our goals moving forward are to grow our US TZ fleets in number and capability as we recruit newer pilots into the corp. Hopefully we can last a decent spell in Providence without politics or drama getting in the way of our small gang fun, but as we've seen in EVE, situations often turn on their ear at a moments notice.

Two long-term EU RITES members spun out of our corp to found a EU-focused entity called Inner Visions which is a part of our alliance and run identically to how we run Reasonable People. We also in August 2012 made SUPERFRIENDS with a like-minded corp that joined our alliance, sharing crucial leadership tasks in the alliance and helping lead ops. More ops = gooder! In January 2013, we became friends with a Dutch corp that has helped bolster our EUTZ numbers as an alliance.

For now, we are committed to remaining in our vanity alliance and to do our best at attempting to perfect reactive/defensive small gang PvP in Providence. There was a transfer of sov to us in September 2012 and now we live in our own home with all the perks that come along with that.
