A market question

Whenever I go to a market hub like Dodixie or Jita, I see some items that are listed on the market that have absolutely no activity on them what-so-ever. There might be a buy order or so, but never a sell order. I realize there are old "rares" that won't have seen activity in the last year or so, but what about stuff that's somewhat new (within the last year). The best examples I can come up with are clothing such as the white or red 'Rocket' Dress.

Have these items been added to the database but not yet released to us, or is it possible to actually acquire them now?

In many cases with clothing that is exactly the case, it was added but never "released"

In other cases it;'s just that no one cares to try and buy something off of the NES and then sell it. Most people that are into the clothes will by them direct from NES and be done with it.

Some clothing is very unpopular.

Also with PLEX so high, it is harder to sell aurum wares at a profit, so unless there is solid demand, nobody will trade in it.

I recommend using the market option for "Show Only Available", as has been mentioned, some items may be in the database but not in-game.

This will limit your search based on what is available to Buy, not what is available in the database.

In some regions this will cut down your results dramatically.

There's also a different category of items like this. Items that are so weak or so niche that they are almost never destroyed, but that can be bulk produced.

Examples:

- Most tech 2 rigs other than the few commonly used ones
- Many meta items that are outclassed by other meta items.

These are often sell orders and total joke buy orders (0.01 ISK) only.

Yet another category is the 'items so niche and so rare that they rarely find their way onto the market'.

The Mid Grade Centurion Alpha, Omega and Epsilon implants come to mind. Very niche kit.
