One Thing I do keep thinking about again and again and why people just dont do it :

Idea:
Gatecamp consisting of the following:

Point / Tackle Interceptor or anything with the greatest ScanRes / tracking speed possible
Preferably bubbles

Drone Boats cloaked at 80km off with max dps drone fits
Long Range Sentries out, assisting Point / Tackle

the idea is that the drone boats not necessarily have to be where the sentries are. if sentries should get popped, just move and launch new ones.

i haven´t run eft or tried this out, but wouldn´t this work ?

has anyone ever tried this ?

Same theory better application: Use carriers orbiting POS field in system with cyno jammer with fighters assigned to lots of interceptors on the gate. -DT

I have been seeing a lot of this in NPC null lately... not even in Cyno jammed systems, carrier only needs to poke its nose out of pos shields to assign fighters. Anyone attempting to bump carrier 9/10 will just bump it back into the shields..

And a sudden plunge in the sullen swell. Ten fathoms deep on the road to hell.

It has been done before. Quite sure it has. Was called a beehive iirc. 10+ domis with sentries, and as you said,a quick tackle to point stuff.

The downside was that if the dps wasn't quick enough or if there were too many targets at once, the interceptor would be killed, rendering the assisting drones useless. Though a well-flown tackleceptor has a pointrange of 30 (36 heated) km, so shouldn't even be in tacklerange himself while the sentries tear stuff apart.
