I know that search function turns up responses towards this but I have not found an answer that works for me.

Trying to play on wife's laptop so I can dual box. I have EVE on the flash drive (kingston 16gb) and it gets stuck at the "Incursion" screen. It never makes it to the login screen. Any thoughts.......and before you give an add xxxxxx line into the command etc. know that I am not that computer savy.

thnx

trust me, you don't want to run it from the thumbdrive. it will be too slow to do just about anything.
as to what you are dealing with, it's probably a problem with the computer not having the needed settings folder for eve.
you can find that in C:\Users\*username*\AppData\Local\CCP\EVE. you will need to turn on viewing of hidden files to see this.
I've never actually tested this, but I did try doing basically exactly what you did, and I got the same problem.

Not sure about this, most USB 2.0 sticks has read speeds better than mechanical drives. Maybe you have experience, based on USB 1 ones

To be, or not to be, that's the question.
