In need of a good station trading spreadsheet or spreadsheet guide

I'm getting into station trading. I've started looking at items to trade and profit margins, but I want a more efficient way to do this.

I've tried searching for guides and I've found a few that look really good, but they're outdated to the point that the code doesn't work anymore, so they're useless as they stand.

Here are the ones I've found:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1VX0TBH59JcIjyoNpVWf_H9SkM4atJtWE3HgSuD9DrbY/edit#gid=252361169

I'd love to be able to get my hands on, or make a spreadsheet like this. But I don't have the time (full time student & working) to learn how to code in Google spreadsheets or Excel to make my own.

If anyone could help me out it would really provide me with a springboard into station trading.

Thanks

Last I checked people were selling spreadsheets for ISK in Sell Orders subforum.

I know people will disagree with me but I always disagree with purchasing a spreadhseet for trading, not because of any moral reason but as a trader you need to be able to adapt, your spreadsheet on the go. New items and places are amung the most common things you'll be changing. The new 6 week update system can break spreadsheets and if the dev doesnt care to fix it it can leave you stuck.

Personally I built mine from scratch and have remade countless times. I've pinched pieces from other sheets and at this point have pretty much got a spreadhseet that I feel I wouldn't need to update except from the new Id's every patch.

I'm not saying don't buy one, but you'd be at a disadvantage if you did. Make some trader friends, we're (well I am anyway) much kinder than you think.

My personal opinion:

- Building your own spreadsheet is cool, as you learn something that way

- Using someone's else and modify it to your needs, is cool too (see above)

- Now - purchasing a spreadsheet, when there are a couple of full-fledge off- and online, often free trader apps available to choose from ... Roll

EVEWalletAware - an offline wallet manager.

I have bougth some in the past to get me going, then used my own basic excel skills to modify the data the sheets grabbed me

As i have 0 coding experience this was best way for me as i wouldnt' know where to start when pulling eve api.

however as people have stated these quickly go wrong and in my case NONE of the suppliers who used to sell are now in game, or if they are, they dont touch their spreadsheets as CCP changes things that often they become way to much work compared to time gone by

however, As i have some basic sheets already i am merely looking to amend mind or have tried and better tried to start one from scratch so i posted in the eve-tech forum,

the following was a reply from Steve

if you're meaning the code on

Then:

Once it's installed, you want to have, on a new sheet, the loadregionprices() function, passing in a list of all the price data you want to get (look at the example sheet to see what I mean)

Then, to get the volume, you'd use vlookup on your actual sheet, to pull the appropriate column, for the row that matches the typeid.

I am planning on trying to go through this, of course if you have any further problem Steve is always willing to advise and help out in the tech forum :)
