Hello

after several hours and a fresh install of eve im still having the same problem. massive drop in fps. a couple of months ago it was 60 fps max settings now im under 10 fps and cant play reliably at this low a frame rate.

i cant figure out what is going on please help

this fix worked for me found it on another thread

"Okay I just fixed the problem and I will tell you how I did it and what's going on.

It has something to do with the way Windows 10 handles permissions to folders in the user directory. It is preventing EVE from creating log files so it continually retries thus causing a great amount of lag.

What you need to do is open Computer and go to your C: drive, then open the Users folder. Find your user folder (it will be the name your account name unless you changed your account name) and open it. Once you are there open the Documents folder then right click on the EVE folder and click Properties. Then click on the security tab. You will see all of the users. In my case I have SYSTEM, Home Users (Raven-PC\Home Users), and Administrators (Raven-PC\Administrators). Click Edit and select the Home Users account. Next to Full control check the allow box then click apply.

You might get some errors (I did in my case) just click OK through them and you are done!

Now EVE should be back to normal! :"

I have done it while the client was open and following your instructions the lag disappeared instantly Big smile, from 28% CPU to 6%
