I like this one a lot. Very nice use of colors, I like your background's transition from crimson red to black and how your character fits perfectly in.
My only problem with your avatar is the mouth. It kind of looks like he is pulling a duckface- and now that I have said it I fear it can never be unseen again.
Still, solid 9/10 overall- one of the best portraits.

Your portrait seems extremely bland and lacking anything to make it stand out. But maybe the is the look you are going for. That would be a rather Caldari way to do portraits.

Not sure why the face is obscured when you decorated it with the aviators. It gives a somewhat conflicted message. Turning away from the camera makes it look like you're trying to be 'hip' , it does not seem like it has any purpose, nor does it show an emotion.

The very bright lighting with the very dark background makes the contrast way too high, obscuring details that might otherwise have been in plain sight.

The choice of hair combined with the stance also highlights a problem with the back of the skull on those hairs (far too much volume).

There's a nice avatar lurking under there, but it's hidden by strange choices for the portrait.

This hairstyle is usually a clipping mess and you made good use of it in my opinion. The little clipping that is still there could be attributed to movement while the shot was taken.

Ohh, I like. A kind of creepy nobility going on here. I'd angle the face a little more to the left or right to either hide, or give more of a view of the right eye, it being cut in half like that irks me a little bit.

9.5/10 though, a great one.

Yes please. I like the horizontal tattoos under the right eye; I like to think they're a counter for something. Good lighting and I dig the pose.

Very red. But the colors work quite well with your portrait.
I like how you added the scar to the eye socket with the artificial eye, makes the whole thing much more believable.
There are several clipping issues with your hair, most notably around the left jawline.
I think the piercings around the mouth are a little too much and distract from the otherwise cool character concept, but that's just personal taste.
9/10 overall.

Oh, and the hidden message in my own portrait is how the scar and the hair form a triangle around the left eye.. Blink
