Hello

Is it possible to go into null, and find something else than :

https://zkillboard.com/kill/48287079/
https://zkillboard.com/kill/47060205/
https://zkillboard.com/kill/47037412/

Everyday you see people linking mails of tough fight they had in null, winning or losing because some factor. I'm just travelling trough null during hours, seeing nothing on dscan and finally, I jump into a campgate and I get instakilled. I'd like to PLAY some day.

For you guys who are having fun encounters in null please tell what kind of magic you're using.

Don't talk me about FW area, I've been there for month (maybe even years) plus it has turn to everything I basically find there are people gathering LPs, or pirate frigates. I just don't want to be there again.

Some successful solo forays into 0.0 arrive at their targets via a wormhole. By popping through a 'hole rather than burning through well watched pipe systems and lighting up intel channels, roaming bands have been known to cause havoc with ratters deep in sov null space.

Othertimes, luck? Keeping an eye on the map and heading for well used ratting/mining systems?

There is no secret. Those who do go to null to fight either find systems with no gate camps, wiggle out of a gate camp, or get blapped. Intel is your friend, check dotlan, check ships destroyed in last hour on the in-game map, etc.

I remember talking to you in BSB last night while you were losing these ships.

Dont fly medium rail anything. Other than a few special circumstances they suck for solo null pvp. My opinion

You got a bad break by there being both a Hyena (web bonus ship) AND a Garmur in that camp with your executioner. If i found myself in that situation i would have overloaded MWD and crashed gate. The Garmur can keep up with you no problem and the hyena can web you from 30km - no dice there.

I would suggest you take a break for a few days and rework your thinking. Everyone gets disgruntled sometimes. I assure you i have alot of fun in nullsec (and also get my ass handed to me).

I just got these kills last night:
https://zkillboard.com/kill/48286562/
https://zkillboard.com/kill/48285745/
https://zkillboard.com/kill/48285755/
https://zkillboard.com/kill/48285166/

Nothing special but i had fun doing it. I also lost each of the ships i was flying and my pod. Dont worry so much about losing. Try to have fun while you do it and see what you can kill before you die. In that fight with the sabre, i burned him down and then got his pod because he bubbled himself. His worm fleet mate then killed me as i was in low structure at the end of the fight and having cap problems keeping the reppers running. I won the isk war in that fight though https://zkillboard.com/kill/48286570/. After 4 years playing I still got a huge adrenaline rush from that fight and left it smiling.

Just have fun and learn to move past the **** deaths where you dont fire a shot. We all have it happen.

Looked up...saw this F***ING clown dropping like a rock.  Woke up in Vylade wondering what just happened!!!

I remember talking to you. For the executioner fight I tried to burn back at the gate unfortunatly those guys locked me fast enough to prevent me escaping this way.

You're probably right tough when you say I should take a break.

I'm not sure whether u did fw or a month or years. How u stated that was confusing. While there are farmers and pirates, there are tons and I mean tons of people looking for solo fights. Right now the caldari are attacking sujarento(I think is how it is spelled) and its probably the most active system in the game by far. The weekend of the 4th of July was the gallente attacking kehjari and that was great fun too. Yea there's gonna be gate camps everywhere which sucks(especially with insta locking t3 dessies) but you wont hit them too often. On the caldari side they will even give u ships to fly during an attack or defense of a system. I'm sure the gallente will do the same. The best thing to do if u want action is join a side, find a corp(or go solo), pick a home station, contract a bunch of ships there, and don't go into high sec. If u cant find action you have ur head in the sand.

I dare to disagree

etc etc.

I find medium railgun scramkiters to be the perfect counter for all the T3Ds flying around.

Id rather rephrase that into: Know your fit, and know what it can engage and what it can not.

To the OP. You will get your share of deaths in instalocking gatecamps. The only thing you can do is have a scout fly ahead of you but than again, if you are flying a T1 frig that would be quite a waste of resources.

Get in touch with me ingame and we can have a talk and see if you want to come on one of our small gang roams into 0,0 that happen pretty much every day.

One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

Knowing as much as you can about your opponent's habits can go a long way to helping you get victory. As you fly more and get more experience in a given region you will get to learn the lay of the land/who lives there more and be able to avoid these problems. For example:

-- Gate camps generally are in the same places constantly and run by the same people. Eventually you get to learn where they are, who runs them and what timezone they are in. You can then go around the camp by going a different route or picking a time where they are less likely to be online.

-- Certain people always have a gang with them even if they appear alone. (it may be in the next system) You will eventually learn who these people are and plan to not take the bait.

-- Some groups are constantly hot dropping. Eventually after you have seen the same guy flying a bait procurer or raven too many times you will remember him and not attack.

use dotlan and look at the vuln times of the stations. If it's during your tz you should check that area out.
