Wouldn't they have had to dealt with you diplomatically in the past in order for there to have been agreements to be able or unable to dishonor? I mean, I admit, this is just a technical little quibble, but... your phrasing there would seem to indicate there were agreements, and you're just using the current 'we don't want to talk to you' to justify acting in contravention of inconvenient prior arrangements.

Well. It's my distinct pleasure to report that the tower has been destroyed.

I'm also happy to report that there were no accidental friendly-fire incidents between the forces of the 24th Crusade and the fleet dispatched by the Imperium on behalf of Maximilian Singularity - who abhors the needless cruelties and mistreatment of unfortunate victims perpetrated by our little nutbar here.

The Imperium would like to thank the 24th for their forebearance and wisdom.

Mostly Sober thanks you for your efforts, With our only regret that we could not have done it ourselves so those slaves would have been freed instead of being sent back to their masters. But we also appreciate the moon too.
