Hello there,

I have made a compilation video of me flying in a single Myrmidon in null sec and taking the fights to the locals. The footage is taken over the last month and a bit.

I hope you enjoy :).

Can i ask your opinion on a solo myrm with 2 reppers vs the 3 repper variant?
Pros/cons/overall opinion?

Thanks

The 3 repper variant will give you better tank, especially if your 3rd repper is an ancillary one. However, this will pretty much force you to fit a 2nd cap injector. It also means more micromanagement as your resists are lower (I replace the 3rd repper with an energised adaptive nano membrane). As you can see in the video I sometimes forget to turn off some modules or stop overheating, these mistakes are more costly if you have three reppers fitted as cap is even more precious.

When faces with neutralisers it can make a huge difference to have two cap injectors on your fit. However, if you use 400 boosters that will give you just enough cap for 2 reppers per cap injection. By alternating the boosters you can keep on repping. With three reppers you'll need 800 boosters to active all three of them and due to the reload time you have to stop repping after two cycles. Combined with lower resists it probably means a quicker death.

Most importantly of all, I like to have a Micro Jump Drive fitted on my Myrmidon so this limits me to one cap injector. Without one of them I would have died in the first 3 engagements and would not have been able to get as many kills v.s. Providence in the video.

Very nice =)

One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

These kinds of videos (yours, and the ones where people kill loads of people with "unable to be flown solo" battleships) make my day every time. It's evidence that some people aren't perpetual victims that quit before even trying, that some people find out the truth of the matter for themselves rather than hide behind self serving lies.

The people who complain the most about balance ("BCs needs a boost, BSs are worthless") are really just making excuses for their own incompetence. Not that balance is perfect, but hell, how would they know, they never lifted a finger to find out lol.

You keep being awesome and keep telling the truth Bram, you just found another Twitch channel subscriber in me bro.

Did you come across C-D during your incursions? I heard members mention coming across a heavily tanked Myrmidon, and I'm wondering if that was you?

Please gather your evidence and present your claim formally at the Court of Crime & Punishment. GD is hardly the place for baseless accusations.

I might have, I fly to all four corners of null sec and I have come across quite a few people from Fidelas Constans (one even features at the end of the video ;)). So I'm not surprised if I've run into these guys, but it might have been someone else :).

Do you ever have problems with "drive by scramming"? If I remember correctly, getting scrammed during spool-up puts the MJD on cooldown, which has prevented me from fitting one defensively. It seems kinda silly to me that they don't have to hold the scram, so even if you kill whatever scrammed you you still have to wait through the cooldown before you can jump.

Oh yes, that happens quite often and usually leads to my death ;). To get the best chance you want to overheat your MWD and burn away from any ships with Scram.

They are usually faster than you, but sometimes that little extra time makes all the difference.

Well that was just straight up epic.
I've tried myrms in the past but simply could not get into the mindset they were built around.

Technical question: that video quality was very good. I full-screened it and it was almost as sharp as if I were playing the game. How did you capture such great video?

I use Open Broadcaster Software (https://obsproject.com/) to broadcast to Twitch.tv.

I initially was not planning to create this video so I had to download all the videos from twitch using https://nightdev.com/twitchdown/. Luckily Twitch stores the source video you uploaded so the quality is very good :).

Glad you enjoyed the video :).
